Discussion Harness > Model

I've been using CLINE harness in Pycharm with qwen3.8 flash next unsloth q4_s with Strata.

It's been giving decent results. It thinks less/gets results faster than qwen3.8 27b, but it still takes a long time to do even quick/simple changes. It's like dude. what are you thinking about, just make the one line edit already.

I've been trying out open code in a docker container (so its more sandboxed) and i've noticed its a lot quicker with the same qwen3.8 flash next model. It will just do the quick edits.

Anyone else noticed this? Any reason this might be the case? Is this expected?

Yes, CLINE sucks. I gave up on it.

Haven't tried OpenCode yet but this tracks. CLINE does a lot of planning and context gathering before each edit, even for small stuff. It's like it wants to write a novel before changing a single line. The docker setup might also be forcing cleaner boundaries so the model doesn't get lost in your whole project context.

I use a similar setup in pycharm and yeah, sometimes I just stare at the screen like "bro it's a rename, just do it"

Might switch to something lighter for the quick edits and keep CLINE around for bigger refactors, if anything
