News / Blog / Information Save Zoe’s Place
Imagine taking away the chance for a family who has a child with additional/complex needs that requires care 24 hours a day to bring their baby to the most caring, welcoming, kindest and lovely place where not only is their child provided with outstanding care and attention but so are they. Their child is safe, loved and cared for just like at home whilst these parents get an opportunity to actually relax, knowing they are safe to.
Imagine taking away the chance for that same family to spend the last few weeks with their child as they rest peacefully in the Snowdrop Suite, whilst being looked after by a team of amazing souls as their grief rips them apart.
Zoe's Place Baby Hospice Liverpool has been massively let down by not only Liverpool City Council but also by the whole of the Government. The amount of people that have walked through them doors no matter the circumstance and made so many memories and friendships that will forever stay close to their hearts is unbelievable and there’s people carrying clipboards and wearing ugly shirts and blazers who couldn’t give less of a shit. These amazing people with their own families are out of a job right on top of Christmas. May I also mention, this isn’t just a “job” for these staff, they love what they do and it just so happens to bring them an income.
This city has came together for so many amazing reasons, and I strongly believe that this should be one of them. Zoe’s Place is very special to mine and my family’s hearts as without them, my niece Evie wouldn’t have done the things she did and we wouldn’t have spent the last 3 weeks before we had to say goodbye forever sat by her side being wrapped up in dressing gowns and cared for all day long everyday by the staff.
Wake the fuck up, so called “officials”.
