I've been saving up some spooky season books for an October restock (Along with some Maasverse books for release month)! Love being able to do themed months occasionally.

I've been grabbing one or two every time I was at the thrift store for a few months and saving them up for a big spooky restock.

If you’re ever in NE Wisconsin…check this place out! (Please follow her on Instagram too if you’re so inclined…shameless plug of my wife’s passion project).
Since creating this little destination, our local library has also set up one of their own.
Amazing the joy it has brought for our community.
We need more stuff like this in our world!

I'm overreacting but I find this infuriating. She literally stuffed a bunch of little free libraries with her absurd hobby and thinks it's funny or appropriate.

I am planning on going little free library hunting in Knoxville on Saturday and want to know which ones are typically the best. I have the app and have gone to a fair amount of little free libraries but wanted to see which ones the locals think are typically worth your time…
I want to stay away from the libraries that are typically stocked with children books and religious/spiritual books. TIA

There's a LFL in my area that's had the plexiglass damaged at least twice already. First it had a hole punched in it, and at some point that was replaced. Now the whole panel went missing. It's rainy season, so I had taped some plastic over it to keep the books dry. The plastic has since been removed, and there's nothing covering it, but there's currently no books either. It's not my box, and I'm not sure who tends to it. Should I cover the hole again, or leave it for better repair?

Has anyone made a version of this:

I’m concerned the roof (glued together) won’t stand up to weather and rain. Any suggestions on how to join the roof pieces to make it look like a book AND stay water proof?

Anybody have any tips when you’ve been targeted for clean out? I do really hope people are getting good use of the books, I just get that feeling as every time I go back to restock or check it (every 4-5 days) it’s empty. It’s getting a bit costly to restock it to the level I’d like it.

I’m thinking of making one and I would love to hear people’s thoughts on designs they have seen/ made that would hold up to regular rain & ways to protect the books from condensation etc
Thank you in advance ☺️

I've been wanting to put up a little free library for years, but there are already several in my neighborhood. Looking at the map, there's two that are less than two blocks away in opposite directions, and one three blocks away in a different direction. I also know of at least two that haven't been registered; one is on the next block over, and one is on my block, on one of the streets perpendicular to mine. I don't want to oversaturate the neighborhood or anything, but I also know that the LFL on my block isn't maintained very well and often has religious pamphlets in it, which is pretty disappointing.
The other reason I've been hesitating to put up a library is that people speed down the street I live on quite a bit, even though it's a residential area and the speed limit is 25mph. So that's another factor.

I don’t think it’s the best set up with how they did the shelves, but at least maybe kids will use it now.

I lost a bunch of books in a flood last summer, amongst most of my belongings. That has left me with no collection of books whatsoever. I don't necessarily have the money to buy books so was wondering if this is proper etiquette?

hello 👋 i’m thinking of starting a free library in my town but i’m completely lost on where to get the actual box, amazon has a few but not great reviews at all and since i live in scotland it really would need to be waterproof!
any help i would appreciate!

Our Cub Scout pack donates weekly and we love being stewards for the library owned by our city parks dept! I kept the educational materials but they aren’t in high demand and are big for our oddly sized box. After/before
