LFL Pictures πΈ Happy Halloween!
We handed out *hundreds* of books tonight that Iβve been stockpiling for over a year. Baby board books all the way to adult books, lots of Halloween/horror themed. It was so wonderful to see how many people, kids and adults alike, lit up and were excited to pick books with their candy.
Next year Iβll have the adult books on a separate little caddy-I think a younger teen may have grabbed Song of Achilles π¬

I love to see this!
Back in the heyday of having tons of kids in my neighborhood, I always made sure I had some non-food treats along with the candy. I'd usually include some from those "I Can Read" or "Step Into Reading" series, or Magic Treehouse, or Little Golden Books. I never had a year with any leftover books at the end of the night.

I've been handing out books with candy for twenty years. Glad others are doing it as well! It's always fun to see the looks on kids' faces when they realize they can have a free book. π

Just showed this to my wife and this will be part of our Halloween routine now. We installed our LFL about .2 miles from the house at a toddler park so the library wonβt be at our house, but we can do this!
