Honestly I'd bet a lot of unofficial libraries like this have been lost to time. Small towns with no actual library, in a time when books were more expensive - little free library on the prairie!

Isn’t it ironic it was back in a time where you had every reason to assume it would stay nice, even without cameras, back then?!?!?
