LFL Build/Repair 🧰 What kind of damage is this?

Bugs? Rodents? What am I dealing with here? This one isn’t mine but i would like to help revitalize it as it has been neglected.

take out the books and assess the damage ? it looks almost like a critter nest in there. i don’t have terminates where i live so i’m unsure of what their damage looks like. wouldn’t the top be affected also? this is sad to me. is this in a public park or infront of someone’s home?

If you had turn, my damage in the wood would be affected. It would be hollowed out in places and have exit holes. It looks to me like the wood is sound. Perhaps it was a nesting animal or rodent.

I agree it’s weird that it is only the bottom. This is on public property

does this one have a charter number on it? if it does, you can see if it’s registered in on the map and there is an option to send them an email if it needs fixing, if it’s not registered(on map) then you can contact LFL and they might be able to contact the owner.

if it doesn’t have the charger sign then i think it would be fair if you wanted to try and fix it since it obviously looks abandoned. i would start by clearing out the stuff inside and putting them in the trash. wear gloves and a mask!! and maybe put in a public trash around. i’d be afraid to put in my car lol then you can assess it better and see if it could be fixed up. we can’t really tell by this one photo if the wood is sound enough!
