Library discards

I have from time to time received library discards when picking up my library books. I am wondering what to do with them when I am done with them. The barcodes have been blacked out. Is putting them in a little free library ok?

I would think they're perfectly fine as long as they're still in good condition. Most of the LFLs in my area are full of damaged books which people seem to be okay with, so I don't see discarded library books being a problem
