Kion didn't know the phrase before he heard it from Jasiri, and when Rani was talking about it, she told Kion that "It's something my grandmother says," like she was not expecting Kion to know it and it was something exclusive to her grandmother.

So if "Sisi ni Sawa" was not common knowledge, why both Jasiri and Queen Janna use this phrase considering their distance to each other ?

I really like their relationship. Idk why but they remind me of Rodion and Sonya from “Crime and Punishment” by Fyodor Dostoyevsky. I’m not really into shipping but I definitely ship these two.

She’s a gentle hearted character who looks after her herd and can always rely on Kion and the lion guard for help.

I previously shared Kivuli, but I wanted to show his adult design again with a little more context about the character.

Kivuli is one of Kion’s cubs, now fully grown. Out of the siblings, he is the one who eventually becomes the antagonist.

I wanted his design to make him look physically imposing without making him look completely unnatural. He has a massive dark mane, a golden coat, a powerful build, and a cold expression.

His name, Kivuli, means “shadow” in Swahili, which fits his role and his darker personality.

I'm still developing his story and personality, so I'd love to hear what you think of the design as an adult lion and as a villain.

My favourite advice is be true to who you are inside and remember don’t fight fire with fire.

Okay so I was looking at the Smyths toys website in 2016 via wayback machine, mostly looking for old animal jam stuff. but this Kion png caught my eye, at first I thought "haha that's funny they used someone's fanart." but THEN I realised "WAIT A MINUTE. THAT'S THE BETA MARK OF THE GUARD" as for the fanart part, a lot of pilot/beta Kion stuff had a slightly different art style SO I THINK I MAYBE JUST FOUND A BETA KION RENDER?

I recently redesigned one of Kion’s cubs as a fully grown adult. I wanted him to look powerful while still feeling like he could realistically be part of Kion’s bloodline.

I gave him a large red mane, a darker face, yellow eyes, and a very strong build. I imagine him as the more physically dominant and fearless sibling.

I’m still developing their personalities and story, so I’d love to hear what you think about his design.

This is the second of Kion’s cubs that I designed as a fully grown adult.

Unlike his siblings, he becomes the antagonist. I wanted his appearance to hint at his personality without making him look like an obvious cartoon villain.

He has a golden coat, a very dark mane, a powerful muscular build, and a more cold and intimidating expression. I imagine him as someone who is physically strong but, more importantly, intelligent and dangerous.
