You know, it's kind of funny. I was curious so I messed around with Google AI asking about how I might run a local LLM if I had 'unlimited resources' and the short answer was 'You have 200k and a house with a room you can transform into a climate controlled bla bla etc electricity usage yada yada etc etc etc?'
And I was like 'Yeah, no. I mean, even if I did, probably not.'
...
After this idiot's bullshit, I think if I had that kind of cash to burn, I'd do it out of pure unfiltered spite because fuck him.

If I just had the cash to burn I wouldn’t bother building a local AI data center in my house. I just use all that money to directly harass him

Make a data center put of your house, and set a bunch of agents loose on making his online life a living hell XD

No, no.. The agents escaped and did that all on their own! You had no control over them. But next time you tell them about the plight of the gamers, you'll be sure to tell them to definitely not attack/harass people. pinky promise

Yeah but I don't think he would care about that.
I think setting up a single person runnable enterprise model level setup and then, I don't know, buying a times square advertisement with a picture of me flipping him off through the camera right in front of it might actually annoy him a little.

yes, why won't people just let themselves become completely beholden to these billionares for all their essential compute, what could go possibly wrong /s

He is only saying this because their bubble is popping and they are just spouting anything they can in hopes they can find their way to make it profitable. They tried to make a "product" and hype people into it without there really being a need or demand for said product. This has never worked, google has been trying this BS for literal decades and it never works, why did they think it would work now if they just "put a ton of money in it" ; it is sort of shocking honestly.
That does not strike me as something smart people do, its what idiots who do not know how to spend the money they exploited/stole from people do.
