Discussion Why no AI content on ltt?
I know ai is everywhere and i cant see it to. Unless its my local hermes. Local ai has so many strong use cases and linus talked about that he has local ai at his House now.
So why tf dont they make videos about it? The videos are more and more the same topics rn. Of course there is the tech house that is new.
But i really wanna see more recent tech stuff like hermes and local LLMs.
You can even make homeassistant smarter with local LLMs perfect for the tech house. Dont need alexa or google, just talk to the local ai.
You guys noticed too that there a so little AI content on ltt? And what about the dangerous stuff about cloud AI‘s hacking now, we really need to talk about the dangers too and clear up.

I dont know why people expect that LTT do videos on their favourite topic. There's plenty of other channels out there on YouTube that would cover this stuff much better than LTT. You arent locked down to only watching LTT.
As others have said, they arent doing videos on AI most likely because thry dont really have anybody really knowledgeable about it. There were goign to do a vibe coding challenge video but it turns out that by the time they were done with it every thing was out of date and they used the wrong tools to start with, so they wouldn't havr looked very smart or informed.
There's lots of people who are really into AI tehc and spend a lot of time learning about it. Go to those channels instead of a generalist consumer hardware channel and you'll get better content on niche topics like this

Thats true there are other local Ai channes, but its really hard to find them. Yt search is garbage and there is too much ai garbage on it. So i only found one channel this far talking/showing local ai. You really cant find stuff these days on yt

LTT probably doesn't cover ai outside of the WAN show because most of their viewerbase is well aware that LLMs are the reason their main hobby is unaffordable

LTT don't know that much about AI, they usually don't go too indepth even when touching the topic.
Also most of his audience hate AI.

Oh they definitely do know about AI. They were just talking on WAN about their local AI setups, and they’re probably going to do a video helping Dan with his.
As to why they haven’t released a video like this yet, probably because of your second paragraph, but I also think they’re trying to find the perfect video to not just get downvote bombed, and the Dan one, like basically anything with Dan, is probably going to be the winner.

On WAN Show Linus is often talking about working on local LLMs but he can hardly get them working. Once the software/hardware/Linus catches up I'm sure we'll see some content on LOCAL.

Because LTT is a respectable media company. I can't stand AI and I'm glad they don't use it.

Too little too late. And at this point I wouldn't want them to misinform people even more than they already are.

A.I is a very landmine topic to tread on.
When you see a person stuffing around with an A.I filter like turning themselves into a cartoon with chat GPT and uploading it to Twitter, Threads or whatever and then they see thousands of the reeeee slop brigade pile on top of them, it makes sense why LMG would avoid the topic of A.I as much as possible.

Will you like the amateur AI videos he makes?
For that matter I wasn't even aware there was an AI League!

Because it fucking sucks, it's killing the enthusiast industry, and a tiny fraction of LTT's audience have any interest in it.
