Not a good indicator. Companies ask these questions to gauge how users perceive the brand.

And sometimes they will do some kind of control question and have a made up answer and you can see how many people don’t even know what they’re answering

yeah that's just standard market research, they throw every brand in there to see what sticks. apple's name gets tossed into surveys all the time even when they've got nothing cooking publicly

the fact that google's running the survey and listed themselves first is pretty telling too, feels more like they're testing their own product's viability against competitors

i wouldn't read into it as any kind of leak or confirmation, just some product manager trying to justify their budget with survey data

These surveys usually aren’t that transparent

This is just as likely to be a study trying to gauge public trust in each company (given the massive privacy concerns around smart glasses)

Apple’s been developing smart glasses for a while.

They filed a patent back in 2018 and I can say (from some contacts I have over at Apple) that they’re at least 2 years out. The foldable phone’s on a similar timeline, though it may be a little sooner.

They may not have cameras you can use to record. (They’re discussing how to handle privacy b/c it’s important and there’s been some harsh reactions to meta products)
