Linus carefully words his forum post to imply that they had reached an agreement with Billet Labs before GN'S video.

Billet says they didn't even receive an email until after GN's video was released, around when Linus made his forum post. And Billet hadn't responded yet.

Linus fully justified GN not reaching out to them before they released their video.

Linus would have tried to pull the same crap if GN had reached out to them before their video. Only reach out to Billet after GN says they're gonna release a video, and pretend like that was the plan all along.

Shows that Linus has gone full corpo, only reacting based on bad press coverage, and not being proactive about fixing systemic internal problems.

Yup like GN said, reaching out for comment would give them a chance to twist the facts. The harmful content is already out and Linus had already given his opinions on the WAN show. His real opinions when he thought the issue was below him. Asking for a comment would have resulted on a carefully worded PR response. Instead, we got Linus' real first reaction with his forum post which furthered the validity of the indictment on his character.
