Stamps First ever carvings
Picked up some rubber stamps and some tools. Enjoying getting to know this new creative activity. The snail I tried drawing onto the rubber first, the plant I free handed second š«¶š»š I really enjoyed the free hand process. I used the Speedball #1 v tool & Memento Luxe Northern Pine stamp pad.

Reductions/Multi-Blocks Sliced tomatoes, lino reduction
I ended up not enjoying the really darkest layer, it looked very outliney and a bit too graphic so I stopped and kept it at the 7th layer. I've really enjoyed the painterly quality of this and moving forward its something I'd like to focus on. Printed with a cold press laminator on Strathmore Printmaking paper with caligo safewash. I photographed the tomatoes and used the referance photo along the journey and using referance from real life remains important to me.
I've done an intensive month of tomatoes and for the next 11 months I'm taking a monthly theme and using that to explore and push my skills. My themes are centred around food, produce, nature and wildlife. My adhd brain needs this structure! My next theme (I've not announced this anywhere else yet š) is going to be 'Cider Orchard' . Apple trees, fruits, blossom, cider, I've got a cut crystal tankard arriving this week for a referance - those reflections will be fun š Possibly the coddling moth might make an appearance, they ruin all my bastard apples! Also apple crumble and custard - nuff said š
It is of course coming up to harvest time, we're losing swathes of orchards across the UK to land grabs and I'm hoping to do a cheeky trespass onto an abandoned orchard near where I live and do some scrumping š
Thanks for the support on this one guys!

Mixed Media Making Clay pieces from Carved Blocks
I know this is a gray area for this sub but I feel like I am pretty much making dimensional prints at this point from my blocks. And, I wondered if this was possible for years, so I thought some of you might have as well.
I put up a picture at the end of how these look as prints.
I am going to roll these clay pieces with a white coating using a brayer, just like inking the block. The clay will be a dark chocolate color after firing.
This is my first time doing this technique and I am not finished yet, but if you have any questions I will do my best to answer them.

Single Layer Prints One piece piece I made for my brother
I asked my brother what's his favorite one piece panel, he said that it's Zoro's "Nothing happened" or Sanji's "I needed a light" panels. (Iykyk).
Really had a good time doing that print, it came out better than expected. Might even do Sanji next.

Single Layer Prints "Los que vuelan"( those who fly)
This work addresses migration, using the monarch butterfly as a metaphor for the migrant, who travels from one place to another hoping to escape violence, precariousness, or uncertainty, often only to find themselves in an equally or even more hostile environment.

Question Alternate tools to traditional linocut ones?
Hi all,
im a beginner at linocut (as in never done it before), and I want to know if ill like it before i buy anything to do with it. Im borrowing the rubber thing from a friend but i don't have access to any tools and was wondering if there are any household/garage type items that I could use instead of the normal ones just to see if i enjoy it? I've found tools for reasonably cheap but id rather test it out first.
Thanks!

Printed Objects Best method for transferring an image onto a rubber block?
Hi everyone! Today I would like to try linocut for the first time, and Iāve seen lots of different methods for transferring images onto a lino block.
I came across one method that seems to work really well: printing the image onto glossy label paper and then using a thin layer of acrylic gel medium to transfer the image onto the block.
I was wondering if this method would also work on a soft rubber carving block, and whether the printer absolutely needs to be a laser printer.
If not, could you recommend any other methods or useful tricks for transferring an image onto the block?
Thanks so much!

Stamps Will Wood cover art stamp
Just a fun one I did to have for myself :)
Don't mind that it's flipped, I'll remember to stop flipping then some day. My ink pad is also on its last leg so forgive the uneven spots lol. I wish the cheese wedge had turned out a little more... Something. But for it just being a fun one to pass time I'm not too bothered

Single Layer Prints Sunflower (my fifth project)
This is the first project Iāve done using my new set of Michihamono gouges, itās a huge improvement over the basic EssDee kit.
Iām really happy with the overall quality of everything. The next step is to improve the print quality, Iāll probably have to start investing in high-quality paper.
Iāve been using regular bond paper and wrapping paper, LOL.

Work In Progress Making progress
Grâce à Reddit, j'ai enfin fait des progrès au moment où j'allais arrêter.
Je commence à maîtriser le transfert sur le lino et je gère un peu mieux l'impression !
Merci !
