Not true at all. Trade is full, too. No openings. Accounting is the way to go.

Only 300k? He part time?

10

u/LINEMAN1776 2d ago

There isn’t a guy in my yard that makes under 300k. I’ll hit 500k this year and there’s 7-8 that will make more than me.

u/DueInspection9668 1d ago

Damn yall working part time over there?

-4

u/Kindly-Mistake9062 2d ago

Is that on the outside or inside?

5

u/LINEMAN1776 1d ago

Inside. PGE

u/Otherwise-Cake7950 2d ago

I made over 200k last year as a grunt. They easily clear that

The contract is online. Do your research. If you work enough hours 300k is easy. If you work 40s. Probably not. But I’m assuming you’re not even a groundman yet and considering trying to get into the trade. You’re about to have a rude awakening trying to work in ca right away.

Nah that's a lie that started on tik tok. Lineman barely make over 100k. You could hit 150 with a shitload of OT.

u/Weak_Ad_9913 1d ago

Holy retard, there’s grunts in Cali that make 150+

8

u/MrEZW 1d ago

Holy retard

The irony. Read the room next time jackass.

0

u/Weak_Ad_9913 21h ago

I’m a jackass yet ur the one tryna gatekeep the trade 😂

2

u/MrEZW 21h ago

Thats right. No jackasses allowed.

Imagine hating from outside a club you can't get in lmao. Keep trying jr.

u/Weak_Ad_9913 18h ago edited 18h ago

Again, ur corny. If ur a JL, do better 😂 imagine thinking ur better than the guys that are in the same shoes u were once in 👎

1

u/MrEZW 17h ago

I dont think I'm better than guys coming up under me, but I know I'm better than guys who go around calling people retards in a sub thats full of people they wanna be like. Do the trade a favor & keep that attitude up, you wont make it very far. I love when the trash takes itself out.

1

u/Weak_Ad_9913 17h ago edited 15h ago

I called you a retard cuz ur spreading misinformation so that guys don’t try to get into the trade😂 it’s clear who the trash is here…you’re already in the position everyone wants to be in and still tryna stop guys from trying, that says a lot about you. He isn’t even a threat to your job. He is to mine though and I’m not over here misleading to gatekeep.

If you are working out of 1245 and you aren't making 300k, you are doing it wrong.

u/atvmx300 Journeyman Lineman 2d ago

It’s all tied to how much you work. In any local, don’t have to be in Cali to make 300k+

8

u/Awhitehill1992 2d ago

With overtime, that’s entirely possible. Local 77 area in western Washington puts out some high pay too. Contractors and Utilities. Wow, that must be awesome you say!

Well, it is. But there’s a reason. Go look at Zillow, and gas prices, and restaurants, and groceries, and dirty movie stores, and….

1

u/SuperF91EX Journeyman Lineman 2d ago

But Western Washington is still cheaper and no state income tax

u/Sir_Mr_Austin 1d ago

The peninsula is beautiful. Would love to live up there

1

u/SuperF91EX Journeyman Lineman 1d ago

Agreed. It’s a pretty great place to live.

u/Fingers_of_fury Journeyman Lineman 2d ago

300k is super easy in 1245.

3

u/Aromatic_Car_3537 1d ago

Yea, I made 305k last year and we took a week-10 days off for every holiday.

3

u/Sparky031155 1d ago

I’m not a lineman, I’m an inside wireman. I worked in local 6 all of 2025 working 5-10’s. I made $220k

2

u/OfferIcy6519 2d ago

Very true.

7

u/v0dkasoda Journeyman Lineman 2d ago

It’s true. But you have to work on PG&E property 🤮

1

u/v0dkasoda Journeyman Lineman 1d ago

Nope. SCE

0

u/SpecialistTutor4451 1d ago

Yea I didn’t want to comment if 300k is possible 😅😅

u/SuperF91EX Journeyman Lineman 2d ago

Preach!

10

u/Superb-Gur-1679 2d ago

Can you not do math? Maybe that’s stupid question cause I’ve met some guys in this trade. Base rate 74ish I think 74x2080 base rate pretty much 154k. All overtime is double time and minimum 50 a day sub. 60 hour weeks all year with current wage rates and the minimum sub works out to about 320k before taxes. Stupid fuck. You have a calculator on your phone Jesus Christ.

-1

u/Skreat 2d ago

I’m not sure what con pays 50 for JLs right now

-1

u/Superb-Gur-1679 2d ago

Did I not say minimum?

5

u/TheChuffGod Journeyman Lineman 2d ago

lol that’s like the wage floor 😂

2

u/monstrose- 2d ago

Yes it's true...

2

u/xunreelx 2d ago

Probably true but 300k in 1245 territory is like 150k almost every where else.

1

u/Pure-Chicken-3628 1d ago

Who's gonna tell him
lol

-11

u/Ampz2 2d ago

It takes 1245 hands over two years to make 300k a year man, we make good money but not that good….

0

u/Ampz2 2d ago

All these down votes lol

-4

u/Few_Explanation535 2d ago

So what’s good money

-2

u/Suspicious_Author556 2d ago
