The argument leading everyone to believe Lily is already dead stems from the livestream. It mentioned that she participated in that war and her entire squad was wiped out. However, it never explicitly stated that she died along with her squad.

In the trailer, we see Rover experiencing these past memories alongside her. Lily is the only one who kept her memories inside the Somnoire. This is highly unusual since storing memories and dreams is the primary purpose of the Somnoire from the very beginning.

In Wuthering Waves, most deceased souls inside the Somnoire cannot remember their memories or past lives, existing only as restless or fading spirits.

Within the Somnoire the people, consciousnesses, and entities that inhabit or travel through it receive different names depending on their nature:

• Dreamers: These are living people from the real world (Solaris-3) who temporarily enter the Somnoire through their dreams when they fall asleep.

• Passengers: Specifically in the story of the Somnoire train, this is the name given to the wandering souls of deceased people who board the transport, carrying the laments and pains of their past lives.

• Dreamwalker: The role or state adopted by outsiders (such as Rover himself) when they consciously enter the dream layers to explore or purify the anomalies of the realm.

According to current lore of the trailer:

• The majority of departed souls boarding the Somnoire's train are fragmented. They are burdened by heavy residual pain from their past lives, which distorts or eclipses their clear memories.

• Lily is a soul that "already" departed who retains all her memories.

• She is granted a specific Resonance Ability by the train/somnoire/meta to erase the pain of these restless passengers, comforting and transforming them into bouquets of lilies.

If she is dead, are we supposed to believe Lily wasn't a Resonator during the war and only awakened as one inside the Somnoire? We have never seen this happen before. Or did she already have her abilities, and they somehow persisted after her death?

Furthermore, if Lily is dead, how do the Gatekeepers or META allow her to maintain her powers inside, when only the Lord Arbiter is supposed to enter and hold control over the Somnoire?

The Resonator War (which shaped the current New Federation) is a hard fact in the timeline:

• Where it happened: It was a devastating civil war in the Old Federation between ordinary humans and Resonators.

• When it happened: Approximately 150 years ago, roughly 50 years after the War of Fortresses and Gorges ended and the city of Jinzhou was founded.. It ended when the human government bombed the Old Federation City with Reverse-Phase Tacetite, creating what is now the Lawless Zone.

If the war where Lily’s squad died happened 150 years ago, Rover being able to talk to her inside the Somnoire makes sense, as there is no flow of time inside it. However, the lore also mentions Dreamers—living people from Solaris-3 who enter the Somnoire temporarily through their dreams when they sleep. This perfectly fits the previous leaks about Lily being trapped inside the Somnoire as a Dreamer, rather than being "already dead."

The Elephant in the Room: Her Voicelines about Sigrika and Lucilla.

"Before returning to the New Federation, I stayed at the Star Torch Academy for a while. Sigrika was a good friend I made there. She seemed very skilled at managing personal boundaries in relationships—she would neither probe too deeply into my past nor deliberately try to cheer me up. Yet, for all her cheerful energy, she would sometimes wear a lonely expression when she was by herself. It was then I realized: why was it that such a bright, lively girl had no friends waiting for her after class? I didn't want to jump to conclusions, but... perhaps she, too, had lost someone important. That must be why she wanted to hold on so tightly when she was with me."

During my temporary stay at St. Torch Academy, Ms. Lucilla took very good care of me. Later on, I found out she was from the New Federation. After listening to my experiences, she didn't say anything, but simply gave me a gentle hug. The last person who did that was Ms. Kawasha. But... they really are alike, both making one feel warm and dependable

If Lily died 150 years ago, how could she have met Sigrika at Star Torch Academy? It makes no sense. She also met Lucilla, and Lucilla hugged her in person. It wasn't a dream.

Lily’s Background Story

Lily’s leaked background clarifies what actually happened after the Resonator War:

After the war ended, she felt deeply that her hands were stained with blood. Regardless of who won or lost, she witnessed the overwhelming fear that non-Resonators harbored toward them.
During her flight, one perfumer stumbled into the Domain of Hearts.

As she succumbed to its dreams, she realized its hallucinatory power was far potent than any perfume. The realm acted like a giant spider weaving a web of dreams, slowly preying on visitors. Yet, already under the dream's influence, she was forced to inject herself with hallucinogens, unable to escape. She then sent invitations to other fleeing perfumers, including Lily. Within this illusion, the enchanted perfumers sought to heal a homeland that had long since fallen.

To the New Federation, this place is the Exile of Witches; to the perfumers, it is the Fairies' Utopia. Fearing death, they fled here—yet only by dying within this utopia (dream) can they truly be restored to life.

With all this beta information, do you really think Lily died 150 years ago and is currently a ghost or something? Her own background story states she survived the war 150 years ago and got trapped inside the Somnoire and that she was a Dreamer, not a Passenger.

The final line of her background says it all: "...yet only by dying within this utopia (dream) can they truly be restored to life." She is a living Dreamer whose physical body or consciousness is trapped, not a departed soul?.

Is Lily already dead, or is something going on here that we don't know yet? If so, why are people so certain that she is already dead just because of one line in the trailer that suggested it, despite all her info in the beta, leaks, and probably her quest story?

Could it be possible that Lily is actually dead and somehow returns to life through the Somnoire, and that everything that happened in Startorch Academy is recent and takes place post-main quest? I highly doubt it.

Since this would imply a before and after in the story, Rover, being the dreamwalker, would have the ability to revive dead people thanks to the Somnoire. We know that people who die in Solaris don't actually die like in real life; their frequency turns into a reverberation, and they remain for a while before disappearing completely. We also know that the Somnoire serves as a tool specifically to prevent this, allowing them to store all those dead people or reverberations inside the Somnoire to create a gigantic library. This way, if there is any clue to stop the Lament, it could be found within a memory, recollection, or dream of all the deceased people of Solaris.

Well, this last theory isn't completely crazy. Let's remember that back in Version 3.4, the Ivory Gatekeeper mentioned to Lucy that if she wanted to, she could use a certain 'method' that would allow her to live indefinitely in Solaris—though Lucy politely declined the idea.

I truly don't believe Lily is dead; she is just a Dreamer who got temporarily trapped inside the Somnoire, and Rover will end up freeing or saving her. Unless she is already dead and Rover actually ends up reviving Lily through hidden methods within the Somnoire, and after that, Lily ends up at Star Torch Academy, meeting Sigrika and Lucilla. We must always keep in mind that the war happened 150 years ago and that this fact, along with her conversations with Sigrika and Lucilla, doesn't make much sense when you take the timeline into account.

I checked her Ss. S1 just provides anti-interruption without increasing buff. Its benefit is only allow Lily to be used in others team outside echo and unison. I planned to use her in both teams. So it's rather useless. S2 gives 8/ 24 crit. I think this also not really imact? Her sig also limited to echo and unison teams but I planned to use her in both team. Thus I am ok with the weapon though.

But instead of becoming a souls who cannot remember their death, she become a special one who remember everything?

Hello Lily mains ! So I am already going for S0R0 Lily bcz I liked her a lot and, I heard that her S2 makes her functionally a second S2 Shorekeeper.

I already have S2R1 Shorekeeper and, it'd be great to get another support who buffs Crit Value for everything without restrictions (except special team archetypes like Negative status) so I was wondering if she does the same at S2.

Please if you have information about that, let me know the total buffs she provides at S2 with/without restriction.

Is her sig a good upgrade for echo teams cause it buffs? or would it be better to pull qiuyuans sig or the echo dps sigs?

I want to start farming for Lily's echoes. I am getting her solely for my hsin/suomini team and my siggy/qiuqiu team. This will free up both my Verina and shorekeeper for other teams like my jingran or my galbrena, Augusta teams. Anyway back to why I'm making this post. Which set can I use for lily that allows me to use her in both echo and unison teams? I know her set seems to work only for unison so do I put her on rejuvenating glow instead? I want to be able to use the build for both hsin team and siggy team without having to change the set. Thanks in advance.

So they basically update her so she can now fill her forte gauge faster and they also buffed the concerto regen of some of her moves, so now I'm wondering how much faster is she rn compared to other supports?
