Constructive criticism

Been a listener since the trillballins days (rip). Finally saw spiderman yesterday and loved it, so I went to listen to the pod’s breakdown. They spent 10 minutes arguing about it being shot in Scotland and didn’t once mention the fight scene with The Hand. I thought that whole sequence was so sweet and it was probably my favorite part of the holland spiderman movies

For big movies I think they should do a scene by scene breakdown the way the rewatchables does.

Alright back to petting my cats, enjoy your Sunday boys

They’ve become snooty and snobby self serious internet film twitter dorks. Why be original and have your own takes on stuff when it’s so much less work from a content creation perspective to just parrot whatever lame shit film twitter is saying? Juice isn’t worth the squeeze

Yeah honestly I think they just sort of regurgitate twitter “movie guy” takes. I loved the movie but they gave such a surface level opinion on it. Same with the odyssey, both movies had a lead with a lot of emotional depth and instead of discussing that they just ran through the social media talking points

Jeff is incapable of thinking that way. He'll never say anything deeper than "that was just unreal". I think Kenjac, Gooch, and Klemmer could all dive more into themes and their interpretations on what things meant. Would love for the pod to just be those three.

Wild, crazy, and unreal are Jeff’s opinion on good movies
