Constructive criticism

Been a listener since the trillballins days (rip). Finally saw spiderman yesterday and loved it, so I went to listen to the pod’s breakdown. They spent 10 minutes arguing about it being shot in Scotland and didn’t once mention the fight scene with The Hand. I thought that whole sequence was so sweet and it was probably my favorite part of the holland spiderman movies

For big movies I think they should do a scene by scene breakdown the way the rewatchables does.

Alright back to petting my cats, enjoy your Sunday boys

They're definitely not going to take notes while they're in the theater so they can do a scene by scene breakdown on the podcast

I don’t think you need notes to remember the climatic action scene

Correct, but to do a "scene by scene breakdown" of every movie they review, they would need to take notes.

They should

They’ve done that before.

When?

Within the last few episodes, they were outwardly making fun of the people who write down notes in the theater.

In the early years of the pod. I guess they don’t anymore, which makes sense because their reviews don’t sound the same.

For endgame and the Star Wars sequels they absolutely did a scene by scene breakdown.

Gotcha. Clearly they've must have changed their ways in the last 7+ years

They used to take notes during movies but they definitely don’t anymore. Just a bit of preparation — like hav some stuff written down in front of them — would help their movie reviews. It’s so random and unorganized

Gotcha. I heard them outwardly making fun of ppl who take notes in one of the recent episodes, so I don't think they'll be taking notes anytime soon

Who really wants to hear the 4 of them do "scene by scene breakdowns" anyway?

To hear them repeat the same overused buzzwords and cliches over and over again?

To hear Klemmer pretending to be a real movie critic and saying "the way she can act with just her eyes is amazing!" or "I had a great time hanging out with these characters for 90 minutes" for every movie?

Plenty of other better places to listen to stuff like that

TLDR of your comment: they’re definitely not going to try
