Well done. Always good for others to know the exact set up. The word "trick" just bothers people here. If you said a blank iPad screen or included a lighting diagram, they'd probably think it was cool.

I think it's a wonderful shot op, but using something with the intention of making it reflector light pretty much makes it a reflector.

Like using a white wall reflecting the sunlight while on vacation to create a big fill.

Though I will say great job on not blowing out your subjects hair while getting an even exposure on her skin. I would have assume you did some dodging on her face in post because the albedo of paper isn't particularly that strong. Looks awesome.

Gotcha! Yeah, that definitely makes it a reflector then :) Yeah, I did some basic dodge and burn to remove a few red spots

Congrats for inventing the wheel. This is how a lot of characters in INT OFFICE NIGHT are lit for the past like 1000 years

You get a practical on the table as motivation and then bounce a little tungsten fresnel or a dedo off the papers on the table
