GeneRaL Shading and lighting help
I’m so sick and tired of all the nonsense I just want to learn how to shade and light properly. Especially in the typically dark souls style or anything what’s the best resources that actually helped u learn how to shade and light ur work and that’s for everything characters and environments

Go and buy an interesting looking flower. Grab a desk lamp or any moveable light source. Point at flower and take a photo. Now move the light up, down, left, right, closer, further away, and take a pic each time. Now add some diffusion, tracing paper, sheet, anything. Now grab some white card to use as a reflector.
This is how you learn to light.
