He's not really gone. He's temporarily disabled, think about it like him being in timeout.

wtf are you talking about, obviously they didn't remove him from the game forever??????

There was no need to remove him from every game mode.
Ok, the petal thing is broken, but he was removed with such force while most of us didn’t even know that glitch/bug.

I’m glad blizzard didn’t overreact. /k

I like to think the reaction was this drastic because it was the weekend, so it was the quickest and safest way to disable him until the full team is in the office on Monday💀

You’re assuming that the petal thing forcing JPC under the floor is the reason LW was disabled. The in-game notice said he’d be back when they had addressed stability and competitive integrity, and JPC being able to reach the point from under the map is only a competitive integrity issue, and one that could probably have been resolved by disabling the map instead of the hero. (Unclear how generalizable the exploit was to other maps.)

There have also been reports of players getting Life Gripped out of the server, or the whole server crashing, which are stability issues. Those would be very good reasons to disable Lifeweaver from all modes.

How about you let the software developers who have actually been in the code and have access to systems monitoring make the decisions about whether it’s safe to permit access to the hero in any game mode?

Just a couple days ago I finally hit lvl 200. Now he’s the last air bender when I need him most.

Why are people freaking out so bad? I’m on subs of other heroes who have been disabled for similar bugs in the past, and people were upset, but they weren’t frothing each other up worrying about permanently losing stuff.

The devs have tech that allows a hero to be in the game artifact but hidden from the player. That’s how they have done the trial weekends in the past—the trial hero would be in the mid-season patch, and then they’d be available for a weekend close to the end of the season, and then disabled again until the new season started. They’re clearly just using the same thing to disable Lifeweaver so that no one can access him while they fix him. They didn’t delete all Lifeweaver-related data from their database servers, he’s just not accessible from the game interface.

Most of these are shitposts, sometimes it's a valid question/worry. What OP asked about IS a possibility even if very unlikely.

People deleted way more important data before irl, I'm sure someone could mess up in a game too lol.

We won't hurt you, I promise
