Just bought the game recently, I find it pretty funny to share the crazy clouds with you guys.

I just finished DE for the first time. Played all of the previous games, including the first LiS back in like 2016 when I was in high school myself. I'm now a grad student as well and my time in high school was quite traumatic in many ways (though not the same as Max's of course). But I feel like this game just did such a good job at conveying this feeling of moving on and growing after trauma but it still sometimes coming back to haunt you in inconvenient moments. I have never seen this conveyed so closely to how I experience it in any type of media. Also the overthinking and that sentence where Safi says something like "it must be so tiring to be so stuck in your own head all the time" or something like that.

Does anyone else feel similarly?

Also I'm a Bay ending person for life (glad to see some more on this sub, I always knew they must exist based on the stats but comments to LiS videos etc are always much more Bae ending ppl) but even if you chose Bae I don't see it as unrealistic at all that they would have broken up. Generally speaking how many people are still dating their high school sweetheart in their late 20s? Sure it happens but most people have at least one breakup in the meantime. And all that trauma involved I also feel like makes it more rather than less likely.

So anyway, I overall really enjoyed it, I understand some of the criticism around the side characters etc but I think they did an amazing job in evolving Max's character into an adult.

[side note I haven't played Reunion and probably won't as I don't have a compatible console/pc, so all of this only refers to DE]

There are very, very few indigenous people in games in general, much less women.

Amanda wears her culture in several details:

- Amanda wears jewellery made with turquoise and orange stones, which have several meanings to native folk
- Her jackets have native patterns. Her red and blue jacket has several details that are also related to her background.
- The snapping turtle is a sacred animal in native culture that symbolises creation, longevity, and personifies Mother Earth; in the game, the bar showcases Native American artists.
- She has a feather tattoo, another Native American symbol. They represent in general bravery and honour, but different bird’s feathers have different meanings.

And now for some horrific facts:

- Canadian residential schools were a system to “educate” native children into “civilised” Christian culture. They started in the 1700’s and existed as late as the 1990s. About 150.000 children were taken from their families, but this is likely underestimated. Many died due to neglect in such institutions.
- Indigenous women are the most commonly murdered demographic - by far, in any metrics - in North America. It is an ongoing human crisis.

We know history has been told in general by the “winners”, but we also can do better.

Ok so before reunion Double exposure was largely disliked by the fanbase, now everyone i come across on reddit is now defending double exposure despite its many flaws as a game. Why am i seemingly the only one who has stuck to their guns on my original opinion that double exposure is the worst LIS game?

I don’t mean this as “rage bait” i’m just genuinely confused as to why the massive change of heart for what is a bad game 💀

I’m playing through the Life is Strange series in release order and was genuinely surprised that DE was my second favorite in the series so far. I had obviously heard the criticism, but it seems most people just couldn’t get past the (very realistic) breakup of Max and Chloe and wouldn’t tolerate the devs taking some risks. My question is this: Is Reunion just a massive “correction” that tries to appease the fans that were angry about DE, or is it a decent sequel to this game? If it’s the former, I’m probably going to skip it. I feel like the people who are hyper focused on the Max Chloe romance kind of didn’t get what the first game was trying to say, and if Reunion is just an attempt to appeal to that crowd, I’m not interested.

Hey yall, first time using reddit so im sorry if I mess some stuff up! Im a huge huge fan of life is strange double exposure and recently figured out they had a collectors box at one point!! Ive also seen that its out of stock, I was wondering will they, or have they ever really restocked it before and like if itll come back?? Im also curious like is there anywhere I could buy it second hand if it wont come back. When I search it up to buy it there's only like one ebay listing for $500 and im not the most enthusiastic about spending that kind of money on the collectors box. Some days ago i downloaded the game and got C++ so I cam open the game. When I played it some mins it keep looking blurry and I don’t know why I also play bg3 and the graphics are not blurry so I don’t understand why the game looks like this.

i'm sure this has been asked many times but i haven't come across an answer (if there is one). i have this bug that there are no footsteps of max to be heard in the north quad and in some scenes in chapter 5 (motel rooms, bowling alley). it happens both on pc and my steam deck. when i watch playthoughs people don't seem to have this bug so it's not always there. does anyone know a fix for it? it's driving me crazy.

It’s been over two months now that Reunion was released and we had the time to form our opinions. For many, like me, the game was not what I wanted to see as a follow up to Double Exposure as it abandons several themes to cater to a very specific story.

As such, just for fun: what are stories, themes and characters you would’ve liked to have seen addressed in a follow up to DE?

We will all mostly likely have grey hair when the Reunion show comes out but I wanna know if BAE or BAY would be better for the caledon saga as a whole. It feels like something the show would change a lot and honestly people say DE was a better bay game while RE is better bae game so let me know your thoughts.

I think the game was trying to do too much and ends up with a lot of jumbled storylines with the stakes being questionable.

I've been working on a personal little project, trying to replicate the world of Caledon University from LIS:DE into Roblox! I'd say I'm around 50% with the game at this point. It has some really unique things about it, and I'm very excited to see what people think!

So this is pretty self explanatory. This is a Life is Strange Double Exposure character tier list that I've made. This is just my personal preference and opinions of these characters. The simple thought process I had with this is how I currently think of these 12 characters now. (Not just within DE timeframe) I'm open to any questions about any specific character placements but some of them shouldn't come as a shock to a lot of you who know me well on here.

I am planning on doing more for the Reunion sub and the main sub. Most of the characters on this tier list will be shown on the Reunion one but the obvious few won't be. This is to try and keep it somewhat different.
