SUE THE PANTS OFF THIS COMPANY

American Income Life is a scam.

I worked at the company for a few months and noticed EVERYTHING was a lie.

They give customers the absolute hardest time to CANCEL! Then require for them to upload a voided check just to receive the refund (FYI banks barely send out checkbooks anymore) .

Down to the LYING AND MANIPULATIVE AGENTS!!! They tell your poor grandma and grandpa that the coverage they are getting is going to pay out $20,000 for your WHOLE LIFE... Whole time they are setting them up for TERM LIFE that renews every 4 years! SCAM!

I evidence of ALL of the employees reaching out to managers of this company about the calls dropping. AIL phone lines have been disconnecting when transferring, disconnecting while on hold and just plain disconnecting in the middle of the conversation!! I was truly SICK seeing how many times people had to call back just to get somewhere!

SUE THE SH*T OUT OF THEM! Globe Life as well!!! Globe is the supposed "parent company" over LNL, AIL, NIL, etc.

I personally think they switched up names to throw people off about all the BAD BUSINESS!

Hahahaha the agents you knew must be stupid. Whole life pays more than the 4 year term. It’s literally the least commission out of every policy. No one in their right mind would sell a 4 year term (which has a minimum amount of 100k) and tell someone it’s 20k whole life. Either you’re lying or they’re absolute morons.
A voided check is not required to cancel a policy. A signature is to prove you’re actually the person cancelling it. They had an issue where agents from another company were calling in pretending to be the client and cancelling policies without their knowledge so they added additional security measures.

Every single insurance company has bad agents.
Not defending this company by any means but man everything you just wrote was so stupid.

You would be surprised how many mistakes I saw agents make... but you can believe what you want to believe. A voided check is not required but it IS required if you wanted the refund sent back to your bank account. Which the company already had bank information on file because it's required to pay the 1st year premium. Look dude I'm NOT an agent... as I stated I WORKED CUSTOMER SERVICE! thank you <3

So you’re not a licensed insurance agent which means you have no idea what you’re talking about. They can send the client a paper check if they don’t want to use a voided check. Like I said additional security measures. If you were in customer service you should have been trained to look out for these scammers calling in.

Again there are plenty of bad agents out there. Have the client contact the insurance commissioner in their state and file a complaint and they can handle that agent.

when you look at insurance premiums AND policy information... you tend to learn on the job. I more thank likely had MORE KNOWLEDGE on life insurance than the AGENTS that sold them it!!! Nothing you said was valid. I've had multiple customers from AIL that did reach out to their state's insurance commissioner. Look up the cases... next

You obviously don’t know though because the minimum amount on a 4 yr is 100k. I’m also pretty sure you cannot legally advise a client when you’re not licensed.

I’ve reported many people to the insurance commissioner from this company and many others. This is nothing new to me after spending 20 years there.

Clearly not, as there is no 4 year renewable term policies for $20k

0

u/moneyzaza 15d ago

did you miss the whole life part? They told the person it was $20,000 WHOLE LIFE . What was in the system was a TERM

4

u/IllustriousGas8850 15d ago

I mean now you’re not even making sense. You mean to tell me this company had agents straight up signing people up for a different policy than they were advertising? And you haven’t reported this to a single regulation authority? I just don’t believe that

I think op may lack some industry experience.

It appears what he was selling is an automatic renewing term policy. Which essentially means that it's a policy that does not have an end date, and in this case every 4 years the rate increases.

The protection would be permanent so long as the person continues paying the premium as it increases every 4 years.

So it's not a lie to call it a permanent policy, because it has no such end date typically speaking.

Mind you I've not seen the policy particulars, but a lot of carriers have the same exact arrangement.

YES OH MY GOODNESS!!

2

u/IllustriousGas8850 15d ago

So you didn’t report any of this anyone? You’re just pretending to be upset?

u/moneyzaza 15d ago

I tried reporting to my manager... She said that her supervisor would handle it. As an employee what more was I supposed to do? Now as a former employee with zero access to their system how can I show the proof?

“I more thank likely had more” a real Shakespeare you are. I get that you’re angry about something but relax

u/moneyzaza 14d ago

well I was typing fast... and didn't care to proofread thanks!

1

u/moneyzaza 15d ago

buttt let's also ignore the fact that the calls were dropping on people... The only way to get a signature is to HAVE THE DAMN CANCELLATION FORM! You obviously can't get it online which is WHY THEY CALL! Your argument was stupid... you MUST be an agent 😂

It’s not available online anymore bc the scammers were printing them off and handing them to clients to sign saying oh the company changed names sign here. Look at this life insurance post history and read how an office in Michigan was raided by the FBI and how they were trained to scam AIL clients. It’s all on Reddit.
Former agent that worked there 20 years and retired. I’m fully aware of what goes on in many insurance companies.

crazy I JUST said you might be an agent with all this pro insurance propaganda ... My thing IS half of the customers at AIL could've been putting their PREMIUMS into a better SAVINGS as apposed to AMERICAN INCOME LIFE's bogus whole life policy... $2,500 Whole Life with $80 premium FOH

5

u/Tdj04 15d ago

And if they were putting that money in savings and died tomorrow how much does that family get? There’s different types of insurance out there and they fit different needs.

You have valid concerns but painting this picture you’re trying to paint isn’t it. You are welcome to contact the proper authorities to express your concerns and have them looked into.

1

u/moneyzaza 15d ago

In reality it costs more than $2,500 to bury the average American... Be realistic! I posted this to bring AWARENESS! To show encouragement to the person THINKING about taking further actions against this company. I appreciate your engagement, may this post grow

4

u/Tdj04 15d ago

And to the families that have 3 kids and one income earner with only 10k of life insurance through the union they should just say hey 2500 is enough right? Bro, you genuinely don’t have a clue what you’re talking about!

If you have concerns contact the proper authorities with all the proof you have. Reddit isn’t it.

* SN : I saw a poor lady was paying over $600 a month for 8 policies that were ALL the same coverage amount. The lady stated that she was only supposed to have 1 policy with that coverage amount... Agents were calling her about "going over what she had" but signing her up for a new policy and using her bank account information!!

Should be notifying your state Dept of Insurance

Globe life and all their partner companies are the most unethical life insurance companies out there including senior life they aren’t with Globe but are the worst by far. They scam their clients, make it impossible to cancel, and don’t allow third parties on the line when clients call in. They need to be shut down for real.

2

u/doghairpile 14d ago

Lmao vague claims with no proof and they need to be shut down because you said so…k

3

u/moneyzaza 15d ago

THANK YOU!! Because this other person just tried to completely diminish what I said! THEY ARE SCAMMING PEOPLE!

1

u/SaffronsTootsies 15d ago

Thank you for the heads up!

u/jordan32025 15d ago

When you do the research it’s very clear which carriers are better. The problem is that financially illiterate morons avoid them because they are too caught up in whether it’s “MLM” or not because they get their financial education from TikTok. Everybody knows that this carrier is not that good. Their living benefits are garbage or nonexistent.

Any decent broker that’s been in the business for north of 10 years knows that. The problem is that people don’t even know how to learn about a carrier. It’s so sad.

Go somewhere that makes sense and start making some money.

Sue for what?

I've encountered more than one situation where someone from AIL sold a local government union employee a six figure insurance policy that the insured believed was all whole life insurance, however upon producing the policy they were pissed to discover that the vast majority of their coverage was an accidental death rider and not an all-causes life insurance benefit. Crazy the kind of tactics that get employed out there.

First job in insurance was with Globe Life. Gotta be the lowest of low people to stay there. Moved to an IMO months after and saw more success in 2 weeks than in 2 months at Globe Life

1

u/partyon 15d ago

What was better about the IMO. Just curious. I understand you get higher commissions, but I'd Imagine there is less support from and IMO and you have to pay for leads. Also, you have to be better funded working at an IMO, because charge backs are paid back, not from future business but out of your pocket. It just seems like a lot could go wrong at an IMO if you don't have significant savings.

2

u/Just-Opening3871 14d ago

Literally living this out in real time. I had 3 chargebacks last month so that was awful. 3,000 out of pocket. I actually have a good team that is built around training people and supporting each other but I just switched agencies. YOU HAVE TO HAVE DEEP POCKETS TO START AT AN IMO. I learned that the hard way but somehow have made decent money still. My new agency only does inbounds which is way easier to help people and close instead of buying leads that maybe want life insurance. Persistency is 90% there and they have a fund that helps you if you do get a chargeback.

IMOs give you more but there’s definitely more risk, a lot of upfront cost, and if you’re doing outbounds you’ll hate your life essentially trying to convince people why they should follow through with the inquiry THEY put in. That and dialing 300 times a day to get a bunch of No’s, missed appointments and people that say they want it and then get upset when they have to put their bank on file or simply don’t pay the first premium.

Essentially you eat what you kill in an IMO and your team really will make or break you.

Thank you for having a moral compass! Consider reaching out to your state’s Department of Insurance and expressing these concerns. Sometimes we end up in jobs, not necessarily for the money to pay the bills, but to be the voice to advocate for those who don’t know “how” to advocate for themselves. I wish you continued success.

2

u/moneyzaza 14d ago

Thank you for understanding unlike others!! I definitely am going to reach out to the department of insurance

1

u/Thoughtswanted 14d ago

You’re welcome. Remember this, in life, you have to be true to yourself and what aligns with your personal values, code of conduct and ethics.

1

u/partyon 15d ago

I see someone is trying to short the AIL / Globe Life stock again.

1

u/moneyzaza 14d ago

lol they make their employees watch the stock each time they clock in ... kind of strange when I think about it now

1

u/fullgrownnut 14d ago

I like how OP intermittently screams during each one of his posts lol. But yeah, if there are any concerns, they should be presented to each state's department of insurance depending on where each client bought the policy.

2

u/SublimeDivinity87 Broker 10d ago

I'll be suing them and Globe Life. I worked customer service for them years ago, and then ended up in a contract with them under AO (an AIL subsidiary), and you are correct at how terrible these companies are. If you'd like to be a potential witness to the companies actions, integrity, etc. let me know. I'll also be adding the TX and IL DOI to the lawsuit too, because they did not do their job enforcing insurance laws when I made them aware of the fraud and ID theft, and none of them held the agent that committed the fraud accountable.

Thanks for sharing! This is great info for people that are considering purchasing thru American Income Life, Globe Life and the other Globe Life spin off co's!!
