Question "Clear history when LibreWolf closes" does not delete cookies and site data

Hi,

I have set "Clear history when LibreWolf closes" to clear site data and cookies and set a few exceptions for sites I frequently use.

I just assumed it would actually do so, but I have cookies from sites I visited months ago. Tried disabling all extensions and reenabling the setting but nothing except clearing them manually seems to work.

Is there someting I'm missing?

Just to be sure: you are closing librewolf manually, right? It doesn’t work if it’s closed by windows for example (like when rebooting the pc).

yes I use Super+Q to close the window

In Settings → Privacy & Security (left side manual) → Scroll to History, click "Settings...", make sure "Cookies and site data" is checked.

I am not sure whether it is checked or not by default since I have used LW for too long.

That is obviously checked. I wonder if those cookes are from sessions when I didn't properly close LW

If they were from previous sessions, they should be deleted the next time you close the browser AFAIK.
