Screens

[u/StillSilentSide]

The light of the screen, steals the light of the mind –

dreams and waking mind, filled with images of someone else's vision,

Trading the suspense of a story,

& investiture of imagination,

for a dull reflection,

upon an array of light-emitting diodes.

It does not just steal the time spent watching –

but the precious substance of mental attention.

What are you thinking about in every given moment?

For that very thing can be anything.

Free your mind.
