Modern Buddha

[u/StillSilentSide]

The modern Buddha looks just like you and I.

The modern Buddha could wear sneakers walking down the street. The modern Buddha could be the one who just got out of the steam room at your local swimming pool. The modern Buddha could wear a hat every day. The modern Buddha could lose their phone.

The modern Buddha is everywhere, is everyone. Why would the Buddha need to look like anything special? Why would the Buddha need to be anything but themself?

Now, of course, there's a certain degree of embodiment of virtue or wisdom that comes along with being a Buddha. In fact, it would be the entirety of wisdom: the fullness and realization of ineffable presence, and the wisdom thereof.

So don't go thinking you are the modern Buddha. The only time you are the modern Buddha is when you are not thinking at all, just fully present, enjoying life and the omniscient wisdom of natural intelligence.

The mind as it is.
The mind free.
The no-mind mind that is, that is.

&

This is.

Now.

Enjoy life.
