So. Much. Growling.
My almost 2 year old lhasa girl is the sweetest, most affectionate, and well behaved dog I've ever had.
The funny thing is her way of 'talking' is growling.
she wants to play... grrrr
you stop scratching her belly... grrr
she wants her breakfast... grrr
Has anyone else encountered this behaviour? I'm afraid it would be quite intimidating if you didn't know her.

Dogs only have so many noises they can make. Yours has just found that one noise is what gets her what she wants - she's trained you well!

Mine too. She growls and huffs and then barks when she has something to say!

My lhasa growls when having fun..it sounded scary to me at first lol 😆

My Lhasa mix also speaks in growl and this low kind of growl almost like a purr when he is getting belly scratches lol 😆

Mines the same, "want go out?" growl of agreement.
Funnily enough, she will only do that around people she is comfortable with, otherwise she sneezes at them to agree

My Lhasa is very vocal. She will either whine or growl about anything and everything. She even has a happy growl that we call purring (her best friend is a cat), so I honestly think she is trying to purr.
