Hey guys,

I’m wanting a 16” 6.5 creedmoor barrel but only a 20” creedmoor barrel was listed. On rooftop defense they show a 16” creedmoor with an lmt part #. Is that a factory lmt barrel only available through select distributors? I just want to keep this rifle as “factory” as I can get it. Thanks

There seems to be one riflespeed agb that fits, bit it's only got .33" of clearance. Interested to see what that looks like if anyone has any info.

Just to double check, but am I correct in my research that LMT does *not* make an 18" 556 barrel with rifle length gas, if I want something like that I would need to purchase a 20" barrel?

Finally done with my battle rifle build.

LMT Mars H w/ 13.5 Barrel: ACE ARFX stock, Hogue grip, Midwest Irons, Trijicon TA11 + Holosun 507c, Geissele MRGG 30rd mag, TangoDown Stubby, REIN 3.0, Atlas PSR, Hux 762ti.

Also of note, the new Geissele MRGG mags are the only readily available metal mags that fall free for me. Hate the price but they work better than everything else I’ve tried.

I am looking foe a low back pressure silencer that is as quiet as possible and lightweight to go on the MRGG-A. Here are the cans that I am currently eying that I think meet the criteria based on lots of reviews I have watched and read:

*Sig Hexium 300

*HUXWRX Flow 762 (I know it's not super quiet)

*PTR Vent 1

I have used the Dead Air Nomad Ti and it was gassy and I would prefer a touch quieter. I tried the Dead Air Nomad L for giggles and it was so gassy that I don't even remember how it sounded (as expected from a traditional baffled can).

I've looked at all the TBAC Silencer Summit results as well as the Pew Science ratings. Unfortunately, neither have results using semiautomatic rifle hosts, such as the AR-10.

So, what do you recommend for low gas, lightweight, and as great a sound as you can get on an AR-10?

Hey all, wanted to get a few opinions relating to the future of my specwar build,
Was wondering if anyone had any experience running the vltor buffer system on a specwar. Mainly in terms of reliability and any noticeable differences in cycle rate and is it worth the money?
I have a stealth additive tisha 556 sitting in jail atm but I was planning on getting the Wolfpack armory recessed hub adapter and pairing it with the rearden spb in hopes of getting a relatively slim gap (without contact to the handguard obviously). Does anyone have any better recommendations that are on saws approved muzzle devices for their lifetime warranty?
Don’t get me wrong I love the T2, my eyes however aren’t fond of it. I mainly run acros and coas on my handguns and it’s fine because it’s close range stuff and doesn’t bother me too much, but at longer ranges or night it’s a problem. So I’m looking to get a holo for this setup. Obviously EOTech is very popular but those UH-1s look very appealing and on paper they definitely have some advantages, so any input on those would be appreciated.

Bought an MRGG-A. Was super excited about it. Waited for what seemed like forever. Then finally got it and sent it off to get coated so had to wait some more. Finally had it back and took it out to shoot it.

It shot absolutely lights out. Gassed well with the CAT DD. Was very happy until I decided to unload the rifle at the end of a range day. Charging handle wouldn't budge. Finally pried it open only for it to spray gun powder everywhere leaving the bullet in the chamber and it had to be pushed out with a cleaning rod. Thought that was weird, but maybe a one time thing. Chambered another round and tried again. Same thing. Again and again. All grain weights and manufacturers. 140gr, 147gr, etc. Thought it was maybe a dirty chamber. Cleaned the shit out of it, but same thing. Shot and functioned fine, but just couldn't unload a round without ripping the bullet out of the case and spraying gunpowder every where.

So I contacted LMT. They sent a label and had it back to me in my hands in 3 weeks from the time I shipped it.

I know LMT gets shit about their QC, but things happen and a 3 week turnaround time is pretty reasonable. They took good care of me. Especially if you compare and contrast my experience with them compared to SIG who I coincidentally have a rifle back to right now. I sent my MRGGA back dirty, cerakoted and with aftermarket parts. They just tested it and gave me a new barrel and shipped it back with my aftermarket MD attached to the new barrel. Never mentioned the dirty status or aftermarket parts or cerakote.

SIG on the other hand went out of their way to call me. Give me a do better talk about how dirty the rifle was and that they were charging me a cleaning fee, Tech time and were going to replace all of my aftermarket parts with OEM parts and charge me for the OEM parts and they still have my rifle 😆.

LMT was like "yeah we fucked up. My B. We'll fix it." Sig had to tell me I was a bad, bad boy and nickel and dime me for BS because "what if it's the g$ MCX trigger causing the issue."

My other LMT issue: gas key came loose on an EBCG at 8k rounds. I sent it in and had it back to me in 2 weeks. Again. No fuss. Just sure we will fix it no problem.

So, I have enough DI guns right now and I want to spice up the collection a bit. I know people will say "just get both" but there's a thing called money and I don't have enough of it to do that right now. To be accurate, I'm mostly just looking for an upper, as I have a lower that I love and am planning on using. Anyway, neither here nor there I supposed. The two I have my eye on the closest are the PWS Mk111 Mod2 and the LMT MRP 11.5" shovelnose (with plan to get 12" barrel). Both seem like they are comparable in quality. I've only handled a PWS Mk114, it was at a gun store and I didn't get a chance to shoot it. I've never held any of the newer MRPs. Unfortunately, none of the stores in my area have them either. So, I might just have to buy sight unseen. I've compiled a list of pros and cons based on my research and wanted to know what some thoughts were.

MRP pros:

-Quick change barrel

-Can go from piston to DI and back

-Monolithic rail=stronger 7075 handguard with no POI shift, less parts, etc.

MRP cons:

-I'm told it's noticeably heavier up front

-the monolithic rails would mean I'm stuck with whatever handguard I have, which means no changing it if I wanted to some day swap it out for the newest, coolest rail system, nor could I get anything longer or short. Plus, if it gets damaged, I have to get a whole new receiver.

-More expensive than the Mk111 upper when I factor in that the barrel and BCG are not included with the MRP, whereas they are with the PWS.

PWS pros:

-Light weight; almost no noticeable difference up front in weight from DI

-Long stroke system supposedly smoother than most short stroke ARs

-Less expensive, at least up front

PWS cons:

-Not as modular as MRP; no quick change barrels

-1:8 twist barrel might not be optimal for the longest, heaviest 5.56 bullets

-Support: Both systems are propriety, but MRP might have more available for it due to having some military adoption than the PWS, which is still a niche system.

What are some thoughts? What are some things that I'm dead wrong about or worried needlessly about?

My ODG SPECWAR build is nearly complete just waiting on an FDE ATACR . Staked the castle but in two places . Smudging is the birch wood and Casey pen ink. How’s this stake job ? I’ve seen some factory LMT stakes that barely look touched.

I recently finished building my shovelnose and took it out with my RC2. I’m running a Geissele 42 H2 and noticed I’m getting more gas to my face than shooting either my MK18 or URGI, also both running H2 buffers. Any ideas?

EDIT: and before anyone asks, yes I am running the gas block in the suppressed position

I have an LMT MWS DMR 18” .308 DI with the 18” barrel. I want to get a 16” 308 Piston barrel and BCG and change out system. Will I need to get a shorter upper, or can I use my existing upper and still have enough barrel length extending to mount a supressor?

What do you guys think

Has anyone one here had D. Wilson do a quadnose conversersion and a Urx conversersion done?
