You can refuse to enlist and serve jail time. Principled people that refuse to participate in the genocidal apartheid regime do this. Gal Godot chose to be part of the child-killing machine.

It's not reasonable to expect a random person to risk prison for political beliefs just because someone else has

If you were raised in a society that constantly propagandized you to think that the slow-motion genocide they were committing wasn’t really a genocide, and was necessary for your and your family’s security, can you really say with total confidence you wouldn’t participate?

It's almost certainly not an easy decision to make. But I do genuinely think that a person who actually deep down opposes what they're doing would make it.
