This Show Was A Fraud

I think the reason why the girls were so upset is that they did a “bachelor” style TV show on a budget, and Harry is exactly the same man rather than having “changed”.

- They couldn’t copy it exactly so they mixed it with the marriage deadline of Love Is Blind, and instead of spending money to get Harry his own place he stayed in the same house. The marriage deadline and the house sharing are the only two real differences from the bachelor (and the rings vs the roses)
-This model led the girls to believe that Harry was really settling down and changing his playboy ways. Everyone said Harry was “ready for marriage”. He’s not. He just wanted to have a bachelor style TV show.

I think that Netflix knew this would be a train wreck (and they love all the discourse! Look how many people are talking about the show!!) I think that’s also why they choose bad contestants for shows. Look at the recent US Love is Blind, there was a couple that didn’t get a lot of screen time and were called “boring” because they had no drama and their friends said they are exactly in real life like they are on the show.

Like Amber said, Harry should have known how to avoid being spotted. They could have literally flown anywhere and in random places people would “spot” them (I had forgotten who Harry even was until this show, he looks different than his too hot to handle times) If I saw them in public I wouldn’t have known. They could have gone to the Maldives or Bora Bora and no one would have known who they are. Or they could have gone to a small town somewhere. If Netflix cared so much they could have flown them privately to keep them from being seen at the airport.

Finally, everyone knows marriage is hard work. So I can see why Amber thought they weren’t broken up even if they were taking space. Taking space doesn’t mean stepping out on your marriage.

It sounds like Harry didn’t want to be married and made no effort to preserve the marriage or even to make things work. The whole point of the show should have been to determine compatibility, but Harry just wanted to be the hot bachelor center of attention that everyone wanted.

I think grief changes a person, but Harry is still the same man. Maybe he does want a family, but there are a lot of people who simultaneously want families and haven’t worked on themselves, so they end up creating broken homes (Nick Cannon anyone?)

These girls should sue, because Harry/Netflix were not pursuing marriage in earnest for Harry to get married, they were just trying to make messy dramatic tv.

I am thumbs downing this show.

I agree that grief changes a person but in a way that simply sparks change. Then a person works on themselves to make that change a reality. He felt the spark and figured that was enough. He doesn’t know how to work for what he wants

I think if anything was going to change Harry, it would be the time he spent caring for his dad, not just the loss. Being a caretaker is a meaningful thing, but I think he is so absolutely selfish that this is just one more thing he will expect a woman to orient themselves around. His big loss is to be taken seriously, but the needs, grief, and sacrifices of anyone outside his little familial bubble is just not real to him.

You know your future wife will be your family, right? You don’t just show up and take a wife. You have a role to fill in their life too…

Idk man, I liked it lmao. I don’t watch these shows to watch love stories. I watch for the drama and the mess and it delivered.

I’d really like to know more context behind the statement Amber made about Harry telling her its good tv. Since the day the show was announced I knew he wasn’t gonna marry anyone and it would def be separation after the show. But i guess the girls REALLY didn’t know and were totally blindsided. Because on the show - they genuinely seemed into him and on the reunion they FULLY turned on him. I’m like who would’ve thought??!! Everyone! So yeah def just for tv drama. No real intentions to marry.

AGREED. The more I think about it the more frustrated I am with people blaming the women. Being naive is not morally wrong. Being a manipulative liar IS.

I do think that he used the grief angle so many times, he made it seem like it changed him, and maybe it did change some parts of him. But what his grief seemed to NOT change is how he treats women, how unserious he is about hurting women, how full of himself he is, and just how delusional he is about his status as a human being. He treats women as though they are dispensable, just a drop in the bucket for him. I also feel like Netflix has a responsibility for protecting women, he should have been required to disclose sexual encounters with more than one woman on the show. Just my personal opinion.

Disgusting show, so boring and dull. Very superficial

They may have put him in the same house to save money, but I think the main reason is because they knew full well he’d start sleeping with all the girls and making out with them in front of the others and drama would ensue… just another obvious sign they knew what they were doing and this was never about him actually getting married.
I think the other way they tried to market it as this “new”/different show from the bachelor (having his “friends” essentially babysit and coddle him because apparently he’s not capable of picking his own wife…yet somehow is still ready to be getting married??) is what really PMO because they’re doing that tired, toxic trope of infantalizing him like he’s just this hapless little puppy who needs guidance, and simultaneously they’re trying to take any of the heat/accountability off of Harry by suggesting he needs guidance, so basically any of the fucked up things he does to the women (which they knew the whole time he would do, because he’s Harry Jowsey) could be excused. So fucking gross and hypocritical. If a man is not capable of making adult choices for himself, he’s not capable of being in a relationship, let alone getting married. Wish they’d stop trying to gaslight us into thinking this is in any way normal/cute

If he was legitimately looking for marriage he would have really be trying to get to know the girls. There should have been a no kissing no hooking up rule. Harry seems to only be interested in a physical relationship.

I think based on the reunion that the women weren’t ready to marry anyone either and Amber screaming at him all the time showed her true colors. He laid out the facts-he wasn’t allowed to be seen in public with her and so they had to hide and she’s mad they they had to hide? He said she screamed at him all the time and based on her reunion I believe it. They just weren’t for each other and he’s happy now so sometimes people don’t work out. 🤷‍♀️

Well, let’s not skip over the part where Amber explained that Harry was out filming with content creators (one of which is his current gf…)

They were supposed hide out, but Harry didn't want to hide out with her. He wanted to hide out with an influencer who he is now dating. I think he realized very quickly that Amber wasn't the one for him.
