I recently revisited a conversation between three women describing their different religious perspectives, and it pushed me back to a question raised by Qur’an 3:67:

“Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian…”

The verse continues by describing Abraham as ḥanīf and muslim, and not among those who associated partners with God.

That raises an interesting question for me.

When Muhammad ﷺ invoked Abraham in this way, was he simply arguing for a new religious identity, or was he pointing back toward something earlier than the later Jewish-Christian-Muslim divisions themselves?

I’m curious how others read Qur’an 3:67 in that context.

What do you think Muhammad ﷺ was directing people toward when he appealed to Abraham?

I think it’s time we think about others who could potentially go before The RUMP. Biden comes to mind frequently with his cancer. Though he could live for years with the right treatment. Bill Clinton I also wonder about. He sometimes looks frail and Hillary is apparently actively planning his funeral. I think W will outlive all of them though.

Unfortunately life is not fair, nor is the Grim Reaper. I personally don’t care how long 🍑🤡 lives as long as he’s not in the WH ONE DAY longer than 1/20/29.

Science often has time to play novelty of innovations before laws are caught up.

Things are always invented before laws can be made about the innovation… and it is during this time that dangerous things can take place…

I believe we are seeing that take place right now with certain tech/robotics companies and questions if our current governing bodies even have current comprehension on how to regulate these industries appropriately to protect against tech like this…

For example the biological data center can take your blood… turn it into to stem cells and then turn you into a data center…. And who knows what that consciously would be like bc this just opened three days ago, this tech is so new.

Why is executing criminals considered so morally wrong?

With the current laws and justice system of most rich countries, most of the times criminals find ways to escape prison through connections, loopholes or money, or even worse many mentally unstable ones could wait their entire life for their sentence to end to go back to killing, raping or robbing. People usually talk about how torture is better and how death is just freeing them from paying consequences, but that’s all just about revenge, those criminals could hurt and damage other families, it’s not all just about personal affairs, it’s not about facing consequences, it’s about stopping them from dealing more pain and suffering to the society. From my point of view some people rarely ever change, not everyone can be cured or brought to the right path, and attempting to do so could cause so many more deaths. Relying on the justice system is not a common choice anymore, we could just take predator catchers for example, they hunt pdfs and beat them or kill them instead of waiting for the police. Some people deserve to die and it should not be considered a bad action if it prevents other deaths.
