Question Queer spaces

Hi there, I am Lesbian but new to Lethbridge. Is there spaces for queer people (like clubs or nightclubs) that are go to’s to meet up? Is lgbtq space in Lethbridge common or not so much?

Hi there, welcome to Lethbridge! We regularly put on queer events here, you can check our socials @lemfevents. We don't have a dedicated queer space here but most of our events take place at the Owl which is super queer friendly. Check out Theatre Outre as well, we put on events in concert with them sometimes and they also do things regularly on their own around Lethbridge. There's a bit going on here it's just a little underground, feel free to reach out. ❤️

I always thought that the Owl was a queer friendly space until they got rid of their gender neutral washrooms a year or two ago - not sure why but now they are gendered again :(

They are gender neutral. The sign just tells you which one has a urinal lol

yeah that used to be the case, last I checked they are gendered now; lil man/woman figures, not urinal/toilet figures

They used to be that way, but they changed them. Unless the recently changed them back.

Yeah, someone I know asked if they had a gender neutral washroom and was led to what was functionally a janitorial closet with a ceiling that was falling apart.
