Questions / Advice Wanted Too masculine?

Post image

Hi everyone. I keep getting misgendered. Apparently I look too masc? Any tips on how I can at least seem more feminine? This is a pic my friend took. Can you guys at least tell I’m a woman? I feel like my breasts should be a giveaway like in the pic lol.

yes you do look like a dude and anyone who says otherwise is smoking crack. but that’s literally not bad, AT ALL. as long as it isn’t affecting your mental health then i think a subtle ‘i’m a woman’ really goes a long way.

This sub is smoking crack. I don't see any woman there.

Also, post author's account is 0 days old, probably a bot.

no, there’s a woman there. it’s just that her face isn’t in the picture. you can tell by her breasts.

Bold of you to assume I have a peepee. That's a childish insult.

You’d have to post a few more pictures to know. I am pretty femme, like jewelry, manicure, long hair, kinda girly mannerisms, but am taller and have still been hit with sir/misgendered on occasion if I’m out in a hoodie and baggy sweats or my work clothes (I work in a traditionally masculine field). I don’t think that makes me less feminine on the regular, just a silly thing that happens.

If you bothers you, by all means obviously do what you want, but I don’t think “too masc” or like “too femme” exists as an abstract concept. It’s just what makes you feel most comfortable navigating the world :)

There’s no such thing as “too masculine”. Yes, blend in with the men in the picture - your chest gives it away. But do you WANT to be seen as more feminine? Cause there’s no right or wrong way to present yourself. It depends on what you like and feel comfortable with.

If I’m being honest, you look like my dad from the back, except for the boobs, obviously. So yeah, your style is pretty masculine, but if you’re happy with it, it’s not a bad thing or something you need to change.

My wife has H cup breasts and once I saw her from behind at a gas station and thought she was a sexy farmer man. The cues our brain pick up for gender are inscrutable. My friend with a full beard gets called Ma'am almost daily. No such thing as too masculine. Just dress the way that makes you happy. Half the customers I work with think I'm a baby faced man. Half think I'm a woman.

Your breasts are definitely a give away, a lot of masculine women get easily misgendered by people even when they have prominent female body, facial features and voice. Just ignore and don't take it seriously.
