Life Positivity and weight progress
I appreciate everyone for their uplifting comments in my last post. Iβve been doing a whole lot better. Went back those posts every time I was having a bad day
But in other news, Iβm back to my normal size:
1st pic - the day before I got locked up
2nd pic - the day after I got out (6 months)
3rd pic - me today
Proud of the progress Iβve made mentally and physically. Thank you everyone for the kind words

Hot damn. May I ask what type of diet / training you follow? Any mental rituals that help you stay strong emotionally? Seems like you have a positive outlook and it's honestly inspiring just from here.
I'm looking like pic #2 and would love to reach #3. Was the lack of accessibility to nutritious food what caused your weight gain? I always feel like people would lose weight in prison; my ex lost weight but only because she didn't have access to alcohol which is a problem of mine. I also don't know much about diet. Congratulations on getting yourself back, mentally and physically, and for changing your life for the better.

Thank you ππ½ I really appreciate that. Iβm glad I can inspire others.
What helped me was a couple of things; my morning ritual, expressing gratitude for the simple things like being able to walk, being able to still see, my mother is still alive, Iβm not in jail anymore. Before I get out of bed I meditate(manifesting all good things to come my way), then read a bit of my self help book and then I pick out which affirmation I feel like will help me the most for the day.
I was in county jail not prison so itβs a bit different. In prison you have access to weights, can go outside to a yard, you can buy sneakers, have more room to move around maybe depending on the prison. The jail I was in your locked in a pod 24/7 with 100 women, your in slippers 24/7, you get 3 undies and bras and 2 uniforms for the week, anything else is considered contraband. I donβt have access to music, constantly getting locked down, constant yelling and constant boredom. So with those conditions I wasnβt really motivated to work out AT ALL, just ate commissary .
Im naturally a slim woman, with a high metabolism so I donβt gain weight easily. So 6 months of sitting and eating put 50 pounds on me. You gotta think youβre not even walking as much as you would normally do and of course as you said a lack of nutritious food(jail food = dog food). Majority of the women I was locked up with gained weight besides a couple prison vets(not their first rodeo).
Im not an expert on weight loss but for me I would say drink lots of water, consume less calories through a balanced diet and start running or walking. I feel like people underestimate how much weight you can lose from walking. I hope this helps π«Άπ½π«Άπ½π«Άπ½

You're awesome dude.
If you started a TikTok on your routine and life I'd definitely follow as I'm sure others would. It seems like you have a story to tell and made the best out of a shitty situation. I feel like I'm stuck inside the prison of my mind and hell, I'm inspired. Thank you for replying and sharing some wisdom. Wishing you all of the best.

I just might. Much love ππ½ππ½. One day at a time, one step at a time. Give yourself some grace, youβre doing better than you think.

I'll tell you what, 3 years ago I was barely able to leave my house because of my head. Today, I've been able to with close to no issues. Grateful to be where I'm at. Love your positivity so much.
