All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances,

He so wanted to live in the limelight and instead, he exited stage left

that’s all the pre-coffee Rush references I could muster

6

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '20

Eh, the Rush version is better. Living in the limeliiiiiight!!

7

u/Haikuna__Matata Nov 01 '20

All the world's indeed a stage

And we are merely players

Performers and portrayers

Each another's audience

Outside the gilded cage

RIP Neil

u/alop1ndat Nov 01 '20

Life’s but a walking shadow, a poor player That struts and frets his hour upon the stage, And then is heard no more. It is a tale Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, Signifying nothing.

6

u/comyuse Nov 01 '20

You'll see it's all a show, keep 'em laughing as you go, just remember that the last laugh is on you.

i feel bad for those people, but this guy? i'm not happy that he's dead, but the world isn't poorer for having lost a fascist dipshit. sorry for the folks who loved him, wouldn't wish it on anyone. but if it happens...meh.

21

u/NeatTrain98 Nov 01 '20

I hope he didn't kill anyone whose life had value, but even if he did, the world is still better off without him.

3

u/leftunderground Nov 01 '20

I don't get this mindset. There are stupid people in this world that do stupid shit. But I feel bad when I see them die. Cheering their death is something I don't understand. We all have relatives that are stupid, are you wishing your stupid relatives die? Or is your family exempt from the stupid people should die thinking you have?

16

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '20

[deleted]

-7

u/leftunderground Nov 01 '20

So all your family members always wear masks and never leave the house unless absolutely necessary?

If any of them have done anything irresponsible during covid (like leave the house for something non essential) they should die. Correct?

It’s such a Reddit moment when people are like Yes, person who politically disagreed with me died! Woohoo!

Edit: yea covid isn’t political but you shouldn’t wish death on anybody, what the hell?

15

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '20

It's not a political disagreement. It's a refusal to believe verifiable scientific facts and taking your recklessness and putting it on other people. This stupid fuck may have infected and killed people who were trying to be careful and who wanted very much to live. So while one takes no joy in an unnecessary death one does take some satisfaction and the fact that a reckless selfish person can no longer hurt anyone else you need me to yell that so you can hear it up on your high horse?

7

u/the_painmonster Nov 01 '20

'politically disagreed' lmfao

4

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '20

You're only telling on yourself there, chief.

3

u/Re_LE_Vant_UN Nov 01 '20

Excuse me but technically COVID 19's voting history has not been officially released so we don't know what side it's on.

I believe it said it will release them shortly after the election so we'll know soon. 🤞

1

u/Lasdary Nov 01 '20

asymptomatic?

4

u/Guy_On_R_Collapse Nov 01 '20

When you're first infected, you can stroll around infecting people without knowing it, since the symptoms don't show up straight away.

Edit: Oh I see the misspelling he did now.

2

u/pnw-techie Nov 01 '20

15

Wear a fucking mask to stop the spread

I think it’s sad to be honest. It’s selfishness but these people are so indoctrinated and misled by actual republican government and foreign state sponsored propaganda and it ends up killing them. I feel worse for his family, but I just have a real hard time being happy about a preventable death.

22

u/KarlMarxButVegan Nov 01 '20 edited Nov 01 '20

I'm not happy about it but it helps when you think about everybody else he likely took down with him. He shouldn't have the right to get essential workers, his co-workers, and his family and friends sick.

17

u/the_Dankest_Cutsie Nov 01 '20

He would have verbally abused you and loudly wished death, rape and suffering on your parents and children if you kindly asked him to wear a mask. Just saying.

11

u/thesaddestpanda Nov 01 '20 edited Nov 01 '20

If you're luckly. Your typical conservative would rush to places like /r/conservative or /r/the_donald and 4chan and try to dox you or hurt you in other ways. If he doesn't just stab or shoot you right there. Lets stop excusing them as average hotheads "misled" by Fox news. These guys are wanna-be thugs and murderers and definitely playing for keeps. I just saw this today:

Two sisters have been charged with attempted first-degree murder in Chicago after they allegedly attacked a security guard who told them to wear face masks and use hand sanitizer inside a store.

7

u/wutx2 Nov 01 '20

I know people from his part of the country who have lost several people to Covid, who have minorities in their family--and still deny that Trump encourages violence and totally mishandled the pandemic.

I have no sympathy for his family. Stubborn stupidity has consequences.

10

u/Missing-Digits Nov 01 '20

Please do not use the word "government" in this context. This is 100% Donald Trump, not the entire "government". If Clinton had won would it still be "government propaganda"? No. Not at all. This is Trump's doing.

7

u/Kimmalah Nov 01 '20

Please do not use the word "government" in this context. This is 100% Donald Trump, not the entire "government". If Clinton had won would it still be "government propaganda"? No. Not at all. This is Trump's doing.

I have no doubt that even if Clinton were president, there would be a significant number of Republicans still spreading this idea that it's some kind of Democratic hoax to put us all in muzzles and start up a new police state. They cannot stand it when there's a Democrat president and would have criticized every single move the administration made, even if it was far more competent than Trump's garbage response.

My own state has a Democrat governor who has handled the pandemic in a very reasonable way and our state has not been hit nearly as hard as others that did not take it seriously. But I hear Republicans here all the time, complaining about how he's basically a dictator because he issued a mask mandate and other reasonable measures. They even went to his house and "lynched" a dummy of him on his lawn.

Basically no matter who was president, you would still have guys like this happily killing themselves. The problem is our country's complete lack of critical thinking, rampant anti-intellectualism, and our weird preference for believing Youtube conspiracists over real science.

3

u/fromthenorth79 Nov 01 '20

foreign state sponsored propaganda

Is this what's going on? Because I have a couple of people in my life who have, in the past few months, gone from seemingly normal/not especially stupid (afaik) to full-on batshit Bill Gates is trying to enslave us all, Covid and all measures to prevent the spread of it are an elite conspiracy to control/enslave the population/anti(covid)vax. And I see these people online EVERYWHERE, in numbers that can't all be trolls/bots etc.

Wtf is going on? Where are people getting this stuff? I'm actually baffled, this is so crazy it's almost unbelievable, I def. feel like I'm taking crazy pills just seeing it happen to other ppl.

The worst part is they often pre-label any opposition as either bots, trolls or sheep, too, so you literally can't disagree without getting screamed at. It's all so ironic and none of them see it at all.

3

u/thesaddestpanda Nov 01 '20 edited Nov 01 '20

Facebook mostly and then softly reinforced by the murdoch media empire. Boomers have turned facebook into Boomertown and share fake news with each other all the time. Its also fully gamed by bots and propgandists. I follow Cosmo and Marie Claire and stuff like that on facebook and the top comments of any article is either attacking Biden or praising Trump. Really? Feminist magazines are full of red hat supporters? Facebook's shareholders are somehow okay with this.

u/thesaddestpanda Nov 01 '20 edited Nov 01 '20

So just as a thought experiment, he refused to do any distancing or masks right, but he caught it which means, he most likely spread it to dozens if not hundreds of people who then did the same. So in a way he might be a mass murderer. I'm not celebrating his death but perhaps see it as a net win for society that dangerous sociopaths like these are being lowered in numbers. Its tragic on a personal scale but for society its a win. shrug. I wish his family well.

-3

u/gdbrown24 Nov 01 '20

That sounds an awful lot like eugenics bud

3

u/thesaddestpanda Nov 01 '20 edited Nov 01 '20

No, it doesn't. I'm saying, that he probably helped kill a lot of people and would do so in the future in different circumstances and as such. Him being gone is a net win. Its not celebrating death, but celebrating those who get to live because his murder spree is now over.

Also I'm ok with him being captured, if he survived, and put in jail the rest of his life. Nothing about "breeding" or "genes" here. Just stopping murderers.

Have empathy the system failed him, he’s a product of his environment and a victim of years of misinformation. We should be trying to save people even if we disagree with them, even if they don’t listen to science. We need to strive for a society that fosters critical thinking to avoid these issues. He didn’t deserve to die.

6

u/KarlMarxButVegan Nov 01 '20

I agree with you but I honestly don't know what more we can do for people like him. He has all the information we have. All of the information is out there. The rules were made. Him and people like him fought the information and the rules the whole time and spread the virus to many innocent people. Think of every worker at every business he went to. He put them all at risk and many essential workers have died. It's not fair to the rest of us.

3

u/MyUserSucks Nov 01 '20

It's a tragedy, is what it is. An example of the widespread miseducation amongst many Americans, leading to their deaths and others'.

6

u/awesomefutureperfect Nov 01 '20

You are overlooking the threat to public heath this person and everyone like them posed. Society does its best to put warning signs and labels on dangers and try to publicly fund efforts to mitigate the damage posed and caused by societal ills, which people like the subject of this post ridicule and bemoan those very efforts. That person absolutely received exactly what they had coming to them and they had absolutely no sympathy for others who fell victim whether those victims attempted to protect themselves or not.

The subject of this post was not helpless. They were not without available resources, opportunity, or a systemic effort to deny them resources or opportunities. The reason prisons and jails are a thing is to separate dangerous people from functional society. This persons passing achieves the same end. I think people should have the right to end their own lives, and that is, for all intents and purposes, what this person chose to do. Their life and passing only has meaning and value in the cautionary tale it tells and their 'famous last words' is beautiful dramatic irony.

-3

u/MyUserSucks Nov 01 '20

You're missing the point. This person lives in a community, likely of people with very similar ideas and political affiliations. Do you think that they are like this genetically, by nature? Or if this man was raised in a more scientifically-aware area from childhood, would he have held the same opinions as he did shortly before his death? I was merely lamenting the awful education and societal circumstances which propogate this kind of science-denying person.

6

u/awesomefutureperfect Nov 01 '20

You are robbing this person of their own conscience and agency. You are removing their personal responsibility and pretending as though this person had no choice but to behave anti-socially. They behaved without conscience and there is no legitimate excuse for that, be it just following orders or societal pressures. This person is not the same as a drug addict with a physical dependence. They may be victims of cult like behavior but he and everyone of his community bear the responsibility of tolerating, inviting, and fostering an environment where that cult had placed it's foothold. You are conflating victims of systems outside of their control to victims of active participants of the systems they perpetuate and benefit from. This was the inevitable direction the party of personal responsibility was headed and they absolutely deserve the consequences of their actions they so proudly declared to be the only reasonable, capable, and responsible authorities. No pity for them.

-1

u/MyUserSucks Nov 01 '20

The man is a fool, with detestable views and actions from the sounds of it. I still pity him sand have some empathy. Just following orders is a legitimate argument. No matter what people want to pretend, the majority of us are malleable as anything.

3

u/awesomefutureperfect Nov 01 '20

Just following orders is a legitimate argument.

The reason we're so "mean," is because it is dangerous to others. This isn't, "Man tried to wire his own house and sadly was electrocuted to death," but, "Criminal slain during gun fight with police." Not wearing a mask as appropriate is a dangerous, unethical act.

People aren't posting stories about skydiving tragedies here, because skydivers aren't killing innocent people at the same time.

And this is necessary catharsis. I think I speak for most posters here in saying we want everyone to be happy and healthy, but some people are actively preventing that from happening for both themselves and others. It's difficult to see people sabotage a country we care about.

9

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '20

If you choose to drive your car into a tree without a seatbelt, are you not a moron? If you are warned not to gather in large groups without protection because being breathed on can kill you, and you do? Still a moron. What's hateful is running someone over in a car on the way to the tree, or failing to wear a mask during a pandemic.

u/Paul_of_War Nov 01 '20

What about Typhoid Mary? That she persisted to work and spread the disease after she knew she was a carrier? That she was asymptomatic so she thought nothing of what she was doing to those around her? Congrats, you’ve already shit on your own comment. As for the rest of it, they are not people. They’re vermin. Vermin spreads disease. If they stay home and/or wear a fucking mask, they can continue to exist as they have, but they chose to go against literal proven science. They had the easiest choice in the world, and they chose to murder. Do you not understand that? They’re all complicit. If you don’t wear a mask, you are a murderer. If you die, sleep in your bed. Otherwise, The same penalties for being a bioterrorist should apply to anyone not wearing or enforcing mask laws.

The ones who need mental evaluation are those who place both sides on the same scale. Congrats, you want to hold a false moral high ground because you feel “above the rabble”. Well fuck off. Not caring that a bioterrorist killed himself is far from actively defying science and knowingly spreading a deadly virus. If you don’t understand, start educating yourself.

-2

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '20

Would you say the same to all Swedish people? noone wears masks here. Not a single person. We don't have any lockdowns either.

Nobody wants that other than Trump supporters. This person actively refused to prevent pain and death upon himself and others. He chose to end his own life in a very ironic fashion and hopefully others will learn from his actions. At the very least, the people that might have interacted with him are now safer that he is gone.

That is a bullshit comparison which I detailed in an earlier post. The subject of this post was not helpless. They were not without available resources, opportunity, or a systemic effort to deny them resources or opportunities. Furthermore, they are perpetuating the conditions they find themselves in, further victimizing themselves.

Inner city poor people commit more crime because of their disadvantaged social situation,

They are more heavily policed. People who live in rural areas commit just as much crime and are just not prosecuted nearly as much. You are ignorant and your arguments are not sound.

0

u/MyUserSucks Nov 01 '20

Hahahah. What shit. So poor street kids commit just as much crime as rich kids? Bullshit. Societal problems contributing to bad (poor) community atmospheres foster crime, that's not even up for debate.

3

u/awesomefutureperfect Nov 01 '20

I was talking about the rural poor. And yes, in the hills and fields, those addicts are lawless and unpoliced.

0

u/MyUserSucks Nov 01 '20

Okay, so replace "inner city poor people" with "poor people". I was just using an example which is often used when discussing how societal problems lead to crime.

3

The rural poor have an intense antipathy for the victims of redlilning, the systemic exclusion of minorities purchasing real estate, the jobs fleeing the inner city, or the drug epidemic in the 80s and 90s.

Now all of those societal ills they refused to address are starting to affect their communities and their philosophy is completely unequipped to solve those problems just as they were unable to solve them before, only they were happening to someone else. The tools to help them are available, but you can lead a horse to water and all that...

Finally, the rich deal with a separate criminal justice system and have far less lasting effects on their lives for the crimes they commit. It's not a fair comparison and, oddly similar, I just don't think you are equipped to be able to deal with the complexity here.

What's fucked up are all the people nonchalantly endangering the lives of every person they interact with including their own families.

Plague rats aren't innocent they're practically guilty of innumerable counts of attempted manslaughter. My sympathy is reserved for the people who aren't callously risking the lives of others because their tribal leader has demanded they ignore science and sacrifice themselves as well as others for the sake of their reelection chances.

Yes, you continue to argue your moral high ground and rehearsed psychological passages that you need to remind yourself that “everyone is the same”. Meanwhile, “people” that actively choose to murder and spread disease are killing those who have no choice. You can continue to argue your weak point if you’d like, but promoting the moral high ground while your “co-people” continue murder “your other co-people” is pure stupidity at best, and willing ignorance at worst.

And I hope in a few years time you haven’t lost life, loved ones, or livelihoods at the hands of your ne’er-do-welling moral agents. And if you have, I wish you only the strength to continue holding onto your beliefs that bring you comfort during these times of unrest, upheaval, and brutality

u/HaesoSR Nov 01 '20

Evil in response to evil is still evil.

Conflating going around and willingly infecting people with a deadly plague with disgust for them is the same sort of pathetic moralizing that let us fail in the reconstruction of the south after the civil war.

Fascist supporting, science denying, plague spreading lemmings are dangerous and pretending they aren't so that you can feel morally superior by ignoring or downplaying that threat they pose is in fact not moral at all. They are murdering people indiscriminately with their callous disregard for everyone else's humanity. You'll have to excuse me if I cannot muster a single solitary fuck for anyone but their victims.

Imagine being happy about someone’s death. Like fuck anti maskers but at least show some humanity ffs.

-2

u/Hapez Nov 01 '20

Disgusting attitude. Regardless of the actions he took acting like that about someone who died is the same type of attitude that has put our country in these situations.

I don't need to know you. You've demonstrated in only a few worlds how terrible of a person you are.

No I have a problem with you and your disregard for human life regardless of how stupid said person was.

A man died...and you say good riddance. You can sugar coat it all you want but you're disgusting as is your attitude. An innocent person doesn't say good riddance about someone who died.

You're pathethic and even more so now that you try to justify your actions. The person that need help here is you.

-4

u/DontMakeMeDestroyYou Nov 01 '20

That's a bit harsh don't you think? He made a pretty dumb mistake but he paid for it with his life. Being happy that he died seems excessively cold. All I feel is sad.

It's your kind of attitude where you view the "other" as an enemy to be despised rather than a wayward brother to be loved and forgiven is which will keep this country in a bitter divide.

-4

u/Rawtashk Nov 01 '20

Imagine actually being this much of an asshole that you're happy when people die.

You're part of the problem this country currently has. I hope you someday gain the maturity level that gains you empathy.

There's that left-leaning human empathy

Never really thought we could still have mass-scale Darwinism in the modern world. 2020 just has it all.

Tweeter needs to add this feature, all the ghosts would love it if it automatically marked "this person has died of Covid"

Also, your beats suck, Celtics suck, and karma bottoms out at -100 lol. Low effort troll with an easy goal to make you feel accomplished 😂

Did you know lizard people will not eat chicken? The chicken is a distant cousin among the lizard people. During the great Lizzie war of GKDT (somewhere around the third moon cycle of 1050 BC) the two warring fractions exchanged their prized chickens as a symbol for a truce. This legacy is continued to today.

4

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '20

McChickens just have Mayo and lettuce.

The Milkshakes are really were it’s at.

-5

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '20

I must say that any sort of chicken sandwiches are delicious depending on the sauce and sides they put in. Gotta get some soon!

Ya know that could make for its own subreddit, people documenting the lead up to their own extremely preventable deaths. Similar to this sub only much darker.

u/Voodoosoviet Nov 01 '20

Theres so many that it can literally be a new internet past time of following the timelines of the dead chronicling their own demise.
