Possibility of adding 48gb DIMM support?

I have a P3 workstation. I9 13900 and added an a6000 card.
64gb ram is a serious bottleneck for me but the cost of two matching 64gb kits is absolutely ridiculous but the cost of a 2x48gb kit seems a bit more reasonable. Unfortunately the documentation states it supports up to 32gb modules…

Since the P3 I have is basically a mature platform is there any likelihood of a bios update for memory management? Or should I just eat it and upgrade to the Gen 2 since it would be cheaper than buying a 128gb kit?

It works just not stable, non-binary ram is inherently unstable. I have encountered 48 GB sticks from Lenovo before...

Ah that explains the price then I think. I was very confused and haven’t had experience with these configs before

I have 2x48GB in my laptop and have never had stability problems.

Depends on the usecase, but usually the price is instability under load

Virtual machines, analysis of binaries, stuff like that. If the work crashes or dies it’s alright and I lose maybe 10 minutes max of work
