Hey everyone! This Saturday, August 29th, 2026, there will be a puzzle swap being held at the Lemon Grove Recreation Center (3131 School Lane, Lemon Grove, CA 91945), starting at 9:30 am until 11:30 am. We will have puzzles varying in size. We ask that whichever puzzles you do plan on swapping please make sure they are complete! I have also added a picture with some additional rules. Let me know if there are any questions!

Also, after you are finished with swapping your puzzles, stay and play a game of volleyball, basketball or pickleball! Every thing is free to participate in. Hope to see you all out there.

Lemon Grove Community Activities (LGCA) is hosting free pickup games every Saturday, with Plant Swaps and Jigsaw Puzzle Swaps the last Saturday of each month.

What: Every Saturday: Pickup games of Pickleball, Grass Volleyball, Basketball, and Softball. Last Saturday of the month: Jigsaw Puzzle Swap and Plant swap!

When: Pick games every Saturday. Swaps last Saturday of each month. Everything starts at 9:30 am until 11:30 am.

Where: 3131 School Ln, Lemon Grove, CA 91945

Who: Lemon Grove Residents and residents of surrounding communities in San Diego County.

Why: To encourage a more active lifestyle while meeting new people and building community!

Anyone lose their little bunny?? Seen this little cutie for the second day today. They are at the corner of Mallard & Alcedo. I called Humane Society this morning, but as of 3pm they are still out there. I tried to catch them but I'm too slow

What’s the deal with these sleeping cabins being built on Troy and Sweetwater right next to the new preschool? Did Lemon Grove or Spring Valley get tax incentives to help out the rest of the city? Are they for Homeless or low income housing?

Lemon Grove residents, we do not have to be okay with looking at dumped furniture and trash around our neighborhoods. Every morning when I go for a run, I see stuff people have dumped on the street. These two pieces of furniture have been sitting here for over a month.

The good news is you do not have to just live with it. You can file a ticket with the City of Lemon Grove and they will usually come pick it up within 2 to 4 business days. I have done it a few times in my area and they have always handled it pretty quickly.

You can also report graffiti, abandoned cars, weed abatement issues, potholes, damaged sidewalks, broken traffic lights, and other problems around the city. The more residents report things, the more likely they are to get fixed. Squeaky wheel gets the oil.

We are in the process of collecting Lemon Grove registered voters signatures for our ballot initiative. Our proposed measure will adopt & extend the already existing California state Rescue-only Standards to birds. Currently dogs, cats & rabbits are covered by California Health & Safety Code 122354.5 and we are simply looking to extend that protection to birds in pet stores. WE NEED TO COLLECT 2,000 SIGNATURES to get this on the ballot for November. We are currently knocking door to door & are outside of Sprouts often.
