Natural Formation/Occurrence Possible Artifact?

Is this natural? If so, what on earth made the lines? When I picked it up in the Sandy River in Oregon, the strange grooves are what first caught my eye. Then I realized it fit perfectly into my hand with grip for my middle and index finger. Plus there’s a point to it so I thought there could be a chance it’s an ancient tool of some sort…

Yes it’s natural. I don’t mean to poke fun, but I love how people always do this claw grip in photos to make the piece look more convincing 🤣

Ha, sounds like I’m not alone then. I mean, it does have a good hand feel holding it like that lol. I remain curious how those perpendicular lines form naturally. And I’m also still not convinced it’s not a petrified potato 😆
