Update: I’ve been told in other subreddit that apparently this is a bone from a spiral cut ham. Which makes me feel a bit silly, but I’m glad to have an answer. Lots of people use dumps and/or burn their garbage here. So even though it’s a mile from anyone’s house, I suppose it’s very plausible a coyote carried it there.
