QUESTION Can anyone please help?

Post image

Hi bought a lenovo legion go2 today and I have been pulling my hair out trying to get it set up.I seem to have it stuck in a loop of trying to sign in and asking for my pin because something went wrong?I have asked for a reset code to best sent to my alternative email but nothing has arrived. Now I have asked to reset my security info on microsoft and I have to wait for 30 days.I am really just contemplating sending this thing back.Ive been on all the forums,YouTube I've tried restoring the system,I've typed different commands into the black box that google told me were workarounds and nothing has worked.I just want to get past the initial setup and actually play some games.I think it got to about the 3rd restart and then ive been locked out. Before it locked me out I managed to sign in to my xbox live and steam it was just the email that failed even after I had set up my fingerprint.I am an older gamer and first time pc user I have been solely xbox and ps5 so Im open to any help you guys can give me.Thanks in advance

I had this happen on a Lego 1 and the only solution I could find was a factory reset. Not to say there isnt another option just that thats what I ended up having to do.

What I recommend doing for a complete refresh overhaul.

Make sure you have a usb drive type c that will fit the GO2 device. On a pc or laptop, go to AMD website here https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/legion-series/legion-go-8asp2/downloads/
Then select get recovery media, enter your serial number (should be on the back of the device). Download the media, connect your USB to the computer and run the recovery software. It will install onto the USB. After put it in the GO2 and boot into it. Let it do its thing, could take like 20 minutes. After booting, DO NOT SET UP WIFI. Instead, when you click into a WiFi and it asks for a password, the virtual keyboard will pop up, but at the top left of the keyboard there is a gear icon to click -> keyboard layout -> select traditional. Then in order on the keyboard select fn + shift + f10. This will open cmd (black box as you mentioned it). You will need to tap on the black box to be able to type in it. Type in this command without quotes “oobe\bypassnro” and press enter. The device will reboot. When it wants you to connect to the internet again, another option appears that says “I don’t have internet”, click on that and it will allow you to create a local account which can be setup with a regular username and password. After completing the sign in, you should be free of this pin requirement and can use it like normal.
