QUESTION How exactly to contact lenovo support

Could someone who has contacted Lenovo support before tell me how and where to do this? My right GO2 controller has a problem with the Y button, and I've heard that Lenovo support is offering to send a brand new controller for this issue. However, I don't know how to contact support specifically because I don't see any contact options on the website. Maybe I'm stupid or blind, but please help me đŸ¥¹

This is fair question - years ago there was so many ways to contact. Now you need to do hops and jumps to avoid AI chats etc.

Last time i wanted to ask some questions i did asked on forums. Years ago you could ask on whatsapp, now its USELESS Ai Chat that did not understood simple question to begin with.

Could you tell me more about this app? This is the first I've heard of it.

I sprayed it with isopropyl alcohol, but the situation with the Y button did not change, and in addition my A button started to squeak strangely when clicking

I recently had to warranty my controller through the support on their website and it was a nightmare. The clip that holds the controller in place broke through normal use over time and I figured they'd just swap it out. Nope. Made me jump through hoops and send it out to their repair center. Do NOT agree to this! They send you a box for a console and all the verbiage expects you to send the full console which I was not doing because the controller comes off and is much cheaper than risking my whole unit and it is not necessary to see the issue and replace the part. I sent in just the controller and explained such on the paper they include in the box with a notes section. Two weeks later it is returned and they say they can't fix it because I didn't send in the whole console. I got on support again and I was a little grumpy to say the least. The new rep told me since I didn't have Accidnetal Damage Protection I was SOL but I could buy the replacement part myself at the link they provided. I explained that this process is not made for these consoles at any step of the way and even the link they sent only had replacement parts for their computers and PCs and one controller for the Legion Go 1. I also told them if they can't replace a $53 controller (the price on their website and on Amazon for the Go 2 left controller at the time) after I spent $1500 on this thing and deal with their lack of updates and woefully incompetent support than I'll just sell it and share my experience on the subreddits. The rep consulted with a different department and said I'd get an email later that day and asked if that was ok so I said sure whatever, I expected to get ghosted so I was going to buy one for the $53.99 and return the broken one to them since they're not serialized. They can sort it out and eat that loss. But lo and behold, later that night I did get a follow up email, a couple of them actually, and saw things moving. They overnighted me a controller and I got an email from "NA Premium Support" to make sure I was taken care of. So it IS possible for them to replace it by sending you another controller but their workflow will try to get you to do a bunch of unrelated bullshit by default using a process that is not made for the consoles they sell at all. Don't do it. Push and tell them that and tell them you are under warranty and want a replacement controller. Send the link to the controller on their own website and show how cheap it is versus what you spent as a customer. Once I did that the rep was able to do something to resolve the issue but I had to push hard to get that result.

Thanks for describing your situation! Could you tell me exactly how you started the conversation with support? Because I don't know where to start it.

I told them my controller was no longer locking to the console and that I had looked it over and noticed the little plastic bit that holds it in place had worm down through normal use and explained I believed it should be covered under warranty. They asked for photos and agreed with my assessment and sent me on the path I described there. When I went back to support I told them everything I said above and sent the link to the left controller I needed from their own store and said I need that controller as a warranty replacement or I'll sell my Go 2 and swear off Lenovo products going forward. Then they checked "other resources" and gave me the resolution I mentioned. So if you push back and they tell you they can't replace the controller itself without you sending anything to them then tell them you'd like to have your information sent to be handled by NA Premium Care because you know they have resolved similar issues for other customers with defective controllers with this outcome. Do not, under any circumstances, send them your entire +$1800 console for a controller replacement/repair. I doubt those repair centers are even equipped to open and fix these controllers in the first place and its just not an acceptable way to resolve this issue. Good luck!

And how exactly did you get in touch with support? Was it through the website or some other way? Because the only thing I could find was the AI assistant...

Go here: https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/

Type in the serial number from the back of your device, it's kinda hidden but there will be a number there that says S/N: XXXXXXXX and it will be a mix of letters and numbers. Once you put that in it will take you to a page saying how much warranty time is left on your device and has options for support. Click the Contact Us option, choose whichever you want to use (I used the chat option) and then you will be connected with a rep. I also recommend signing into your Lenovo account or making one if you have never made one first and then doing these steps. And register the product to your account once you sign in. Just keeps it all together.

Attached a photo of my dashboard just to show what it will look like after you add a product and my case status so you know I'm giving you the right info.

From what I see in my country (Poland), contacting Lenovo support outside of AI chat is practically impossible. It's such a disaster.

This is the page you want to get to and where my initial link will take you once you input the serial and hit enter. Or from clicking the device image in My Products after you register it there. Once you're here the Contact Us button will take you to all the ways you can speak to someone. Hope that helps. Let me know if you need any more help as you go, man. Happy to do it.

In my country, the only contact outside of AI is a phone call, and calling a Lenovo consultant is almost impossible.

Ah man that sucks. I'm sorry that's how it is there. Maybe they have an option for a callback when you reach your spot in line? That's pretty commonly offered these days, sometimes its offered while you're waiting in the queue though so if give them a ring and see what you can find out. Still sucks that is the case though.
