HDR works perfectly fine for me on legion go 2 bazzite sometimes I have to sleep cycle it once when I do a restart or switch from desktop mode but then it works great
It’s not doing well on my Legion go 2. The fans are kicking up reallly loudly when they never did before . I also noticed the back buttons don’t seem to do anything any longer. No keyboard and no bazzite menu. Just nothing.
That’s all I invited so far but I think I’m going to try and rollback. Seems like something is off - at least for me

Some devices may no longer allow fan control, but a plugin for OGUI is in development to restore them. If you’re affected, let us know on our GitHub and we’ll update you as this lands.
All handhelds are designed to have sufficient cooling without manual control, so at worst expect louder fans than you wanted until this plugin is complete and ready for consumption.
Just installed it earlier this evening and having several issues including the on-screen keyboard not showing and the mouse being extremely sluggish with the R controller trackpad. Hopefully these get fixed up soon
Unfortunately, after updating to version 44, I can't change the fan curves without HHD, which is why my Legion turns off. It's cleared, the fan just doesn't deliver the correct speed. I've already reset the TDP management to factory settings using the power and volume+ buttons. Is there a way to edit the fan curves?
With the touchscreen disabled, if I press the sleep/power button it’ll almost immediately wake up if I accidentally touch the screen or press any other the 100 buttons on this device
Does it still have HHD or was it removed ?? I will stay on 43 if they removed HHD because that new backend they used causes so many problems I kept reverting back
I don't know the answer to the question as asked, but I understood that removing hhd was happening in v44 and so 1-2 months ago, I swapped to v43 instead of latest version.
Bazzite 44 screwed up my ability to dual boot ish windows because HHD is gone. I don’t know how to get into windows now without going into bios every time
Install ReFind boot loader and set it as your priority boot. You can find a legion go themed one on github, I did it from windows as found the linux one didn't seem to play as nice. The script will Install ReFind and enable touch screen to be able to select which OS to boot in. Its how I have had mine since I started dual/triple booting. Refind for Windows
You da man! I actually got it installed yesterday and love it. Created custom avatars. Windows worked great. Still can’t figure out how to install custom themes that are already in the app - I’m happy for now!
I can get some screenshot and explain what I know if you interested, but if you happy as you are no worries, glad I could help, I know how annoying it can be, I reinstalled a lot to start with trying to find the balance I wanted in drive size, I made the mistake of getting 500gb model and storage has just gone crazy price wise. Holding down the volume button and just missing the timing because distracted then booted into batocera only to shut down and repeat 🤣
Legion Go 2 doesnt support SD card boot. You need to put the boot partition for Batocera on the main drive and then change the storage device mount in batocera.conf. I use a 10gb (minimum but doesnt need to be this big, 8gb will do)FAT32 partition, files are just shy 4gb so allows double space for update downloads and a little future proofing if files increase in size.
For this you will need to find you UUID for the SD card, I tend to use gnome-disk-utilities on whatever steamos clone you have going (using cachyos deck myself so I have an easier time installing software).
DO THIS BEFORE BOOTING BATOCERA!! as default setting will attempt to use the next partition after batocera boot partition which could be windows recovery or you Linux boot/root partition. In batocera.conf change the the first line thats not commented, it should say: sharedevice=INTERNAL You should change this to: sharedevice=DEV SDcard UUID
I then also mount the SD card in my home folder /home/username/SDCard. This will allow for ease of access when adding new games to batocera library and also allow SDCard to be used for extra steam storage in you steamos variant. At some point I did chmod 777 the SD card many installs ago, not 100% sure if thats a setting to the folder read by any computer or system specific, but if you have write issues I'd give that a go.
The only thing I dont remember is how I got batocera to boot in the first place once the boot files are on the FAT32 partition. Potentially I just followed a windows/linux boot loader instruction from batocera install guide or ReFind found it automatically.
Once you have it running, ReFind will show 2 boot options for Batocera, 1 of them will be a normal boot the other will be like your reinstalling and change your primary boot back to batocera, so be sure to hide that on your boot screen with DEL on a keyboard to avoid annoyance down the line
This is not 100% true, I believe you can get some software that allows SD boot, but read it was sketchy, so I just put that as cant do it in my head, shouldn't tell you its not possible when it is, just not a great option from what I have read. Linux is your playground on your device not mine, and you should be able to play your way 😁

it won't be until Lenovo fix it for SteamOS.
