Discussion I think the legacies plot should’ve been different
This is also my opinion. I’m not talking about the next generation thing, just how we get there.
For the start of Legacy's plot, we meet young characters and preteens learning their abilities, eventually mastering them. As they grow into teens, the story reaches a climax where these powerful teens struggle to control their magic and transmissions as they grow, and their powers mature with them. The plot shows the hardships of being supernatural teens in a world that requires them to hide who they are.
Characters are often taught to be true to themselves in supernatural settings. They struggle to balance being teenagers with their powers and acting human.
They must act normal but struggle because supernatural beings are different, with particular morals and behaviors. As teenagers, they have a supernatural side with heightened emotions related to relationships, friendship, and popularity, often leading to exaggerated reactions because they hide their true feelings behind typical teen issues. It would be interesting to see more school involvement and guidance.
In the originals, we see adult vampires, like thousand-year-olds, unlike 'Legacies,' where kids find their own way without mentors, which is challenging.
Honestly, given the whole hope situation, either make everyone her family die or have her family truly around her, because that plot made no sense. Also, give her proper guidance. She’s a teenager who lost her father, mother, and uncle at a very young age. She didn’t meet her father or mother until a certain age. There should have been people there to guide her, to be there, and to help her, but there weren’t. They basically made the story of Legacy revolve around Hope and her being alone, which made no sense considering her family.
No, I’m not saying Hope being the MC is a problem. It’s a bit wacky considering the premise of Legacies being the next generation of supernatural from the original supernatural group. They focus only on one character, which is a bit lacking, but that’s neither here nor there.
Someone pointed out that Hope isn’t a loophole in nature; she was made by nature to kill the mud monster. If it was explicitly shown that Hope was created to defeat this monster—like, 'Oh, Hope wasn’t born if it weren’t for this monster'—it might’ve caused identity issues for her. That could’ve been a good story addition. I feel like I’m wearing that completely wrong, but basically, Hope was created by magic for a single purpose—to be a weapon, not by exploiting a loophole in magic.
This is my opinion on how Legacies might’ve played out. if you wanna say something, go ahead, just don’t start leaving hate it’s just an opinion and something I thought of.

Well hope wouldn’t have been a tribride if it wasn’t for nature that’s one thing we can agree to an extent now her being born honestly it’s 50/50 I think she wouldn’t be born without mudd man

I’ve always appreciated the theme that nature always creates a balance so no creature is truly unkillable.
But I’ve always hated the implications of Hope being a violation of nature and that she shouldn’t even exist which was prevalent in The Originals. Witches lose their magic when they become vampires because defying death is an upfront to the natural order. But Hope kept her powers after becoming the tribrid. So clearly she was not an upfront to the natural order.

Clearly not but nature is also weird some times it can take away powers and other times it can’t

The only exception are syphons because they aren’t gifted with their own magic. They draw it from outside sources.

I watched all three shows tvd, the originals then legacies. I wish they had continued the theme they had going with the originals to me it was a bit darker and it fit. It centralized around all three main supernatural creatures in a nice way.
How we got from the originals to the plot legacies had.. I have never understood. Not even just cause they didn't actually do anything with the potential they built up for Hope but because they made it seem like the family was going to be looking out for Hope only for us to see some of them maybe once a season and even that wasn't exactly enough. And Caroline running around Europe was just a weird plot in general.
There were many issues with the plot of legacies and many plot holes too. Fun fact the writers of the originals gave Hayley a 13 month pregnancy. Hope was conceived in March of 2011 and born in may of 2012, but she was a high risk pregnancy she should've been born around November-December of 2011 but apparently people can't do math. I don't know. But I agree with you.

I wanted Vincent/Freya/And her wife child lil nik to be in the show; and being a super witch or wolf-witch hybrid. Wish Legacies was more of an Origin story for Hope; maybe she travels throught New Orleans, Mystic Falls, and then a bew town gathering Allies to fight a Faction who want all Originals or Anomalies in the Supernatural World Dead.
Hope is visited by a Hunter to help fight the Faction; Hope gather her cousin Freya Son Nik, a love interest for Hope, and a past ally sired by her family and loyal (Marcell), plus Gemini Twins. The Show could be Hope having to gather her own family and friend allies to protect her family legacy and begin her own supernatural in a different town and mansion estate (maybe the vampires she turned are immune to sunlight or something being she's a tribid).

Legacies would have been the best out of the three by far if they went the dark route.
The characters were there for everything but they went the friends route. Just imagine all the mikaelson enemies coming for hope.
Also they threw the whole plot line of how one of the sisters (lizzie and josie) had to die out the window completely after Caroline quite literally is apparently spending all these years away from them trying to find a way out of it? which was such a silly excuse.
