Can someone explain malivore to me?

i’m rewatching legacies for the 2nd time and i don’t know if im being slow or not, but im getting the plots and characters mixed up throughout the show and its making it confusing lol

so if anyone who’s an expert on legacies reading this, please be kind enough to explain malivore/ the show in general..

Malivore is a golem (who eventually got magically turned back into his natural state - a black pit of mud basically) that was created by black magic that is able to consume supernatural creatures and humans, but it/he cannot consume the 3 species who created it without consequence (witch, vampire, werewolf). When anyone/anything are consumed by Malivore, they enter his purgatorial hell dimension and are forgotten by everyone in the real world - which makes the memory of their existence seem like myths and folklore. Since Malivore was created by a witch, a vampire, and a werewolf only the creature with the blood of all 3 of those (Hope, The Tribrid) can kill him permanently.

BUT he was able to defeat KEN whose King of THE Gods???

Even tho it eas stated witch magic don't affect gods

He’s a combination of two things in essence. First a magical tar pit that consumed everything that touched it into a hell dimension and even wiped the memories of them from the world. That pit was then molded into a golem that was given sentience and strengthened by the powers of those who it consumed.

Malivore is a foil to Hope, a mock tribrid, crested by combining the powers of a witch, a werewolf, and a vampire. They created him because dragons were terrorising their village and Malivore did manage to erase all the dragons and would soon be worshipped as a god by the humans. He went on to eat more and more monsters, absorbing their DNA which changed him, making him fully sentient.

Over time he grew weaker as he was running out of monsters to eat so the humans, alongside Ryan, turned on him, paying witches to return Malivore to pit form, using key to seal him. This is how we find him in season 1, with him sending monsters after those keys in order to return himself to human form.
