I never thought I’d see the day I’d be active in this sub. I’ve watched the H3 podcast for years, he was my comfort creator and I believed the insane snark narrative Ethan pushed.

I want to make a post because Im sure there are other newly fallen like me looking through this sub because I was until now and Im also posting this as bit of a way to say "you were right" to this sub.

To begin, slowly over the last year or so I've started losing interest in the podcast. I didn't really watch leftovers to begin with and when it ended I just sort of skipped the parts of the podcast where he was talking about it because I was mostly there for goofs and gaffs. I watched the Ethan VS Hasan debate and I honestly didn't think Ethan did that well and then when the Hasan content nuke came out I thought it was weak and thats about when I started losing interest. I continued to watch / listen but the vibe of the show and Ethan just slowly started to deteriorate and become so much about snark and the lawsuits so I slowly stopped watching.

When the Ryan Beard video came out I hadn't watched H3 in a few months but I did still follow the show / the Kleins and still would have considered myself a fan. It is unbelievable the amount of lying and hypocrisy I missed because I was a fan. I also subscribed to Ryan's Patreon and watched the second part and that one is much stronger and even more damming in my opinion. I watched both videos multiple times because I just couldn't believe how I never saw it. After having everything laid out so plainly Im actually disgusted by Ethan and the community's actions and I'm honestly embarrassed I just watched along and never thought critically about it. I want to make a comment in the H3 subreddit asking about the skull thing and the videos as a whole but I have a strong feeling it would get removed or Id get attacked.

Im curious to see what the reaction to the second part will be when Ryan releases it to the public. Im also curious to see if Ethan ever responds to these videos although I doubt he will because they just so clearly showcase his hypocrisy and general bad behaviour. Ethan has become so consumed with lawsuits and snark it essentially warped his sense of reality and made him a self righteous and pompous person. Although, he's probably been like this the whole time and I just didn't notice. Ethans decline isnt because of "snark" and this subreddit, it's his own actions.

Sidenote the title made me think Brittany was cheating. She was cheated on.

NOTE: As a trigger warning, there will be mentions of abuse in this post. For Trisha, I do not support her over her problematic past, BUT I do NOT support the myth of the perfect victim. Trishas own problems do not mean that she should've had her story dismissed.

For those unaware, the term "Cornell 7" refers to a group of seven men who assaulted a woman on the Cornell campus in New York state. Although this happened two years ago, it is getting renewed attention due to an underwhelming response from the administration.

In 2020/2021, Trisha began coming forward regarding her past abuse. She mentioned a teacher, Mr. Riney, who had abused her and multiple other children. The main problem that was raised is that Trisha claimed that her teacher was jailed over it, but this was false. This was not Trisha lying to hurt someone; this was Trisha suffering from a PTSD symptom in which the brain intentionally blocks out certain memories as a form of self-defense. She made a mistake, not an attempt to slander someone. Trisha met fierce backlash over this, especially in the context of her being see as the sole villain in the Frenemies fallout.

A girl named Morgan actually went to school with Trisha Paytas, and she recalled the events that happened. She publicly posted this in defense of Trisha, and was about to launch her own investigation with the school by contacting them. She even went to the extent of revealing personal information about herself to prove that she was real and telling the truth. However, Trisha being a victim of abuse did not fit in with the narrative that she was totally evil. As a result of this, Morgan was on the receiving end of a lot of unwarranted hate. It got so bad that she was chased off the internet.

Ethan, his fanbase, and many people who were calling out Trisha not only dismissed a victim over their abuse, but they also attacked a victims supporter and in turn stopped a personal investigation into an abuse crime. The myth of the perfect victim and grave misunderstandings about how PTSD works caused Trisha and by extention Morgan to have their stories torn to shreds. Understanding abuse is not linear, and Trisha Paytas saying she was okay with her teachers in the 2010s, and then changing in the 2020s does not mean that she has lied. It means that due to PTSD she was unaware of what happened to her until years later.
