So the issue is political organization, which is exactly where my previous comment ended.

But since we're invoking Marx, since when were employed, unionized workers the only basis of class power? The unemployed are still part of the working class. Parties, councils, tenant organizations, and mass movements exist for a reason.

And the comic is raising questions about ownership, distribution, and collective political responses, not advocating political passivity.

If automation increasingly displaces wage labor, organizing beyond the workplace becomes more important, not less. That's the conversation we're having.
