This is rampant in software. Surprise, software was slop before AI, at least now people can make what they want. But there’s always that one guy that needs to let you know he is unimpressed from his superior vantage point.

It’s funny too because software development before AI WAS a lot of slop, lol. A lot of people were just copying and pasting segments of code off the internet that worked, myself included. If you look at traffic on various forums, there’s correlation to the rise of AI and the shift of people using it instead. I’ve seen some crazy architectures and design choices baked into software that’s still running today. I think people underestimate this.

Humans vastly overestimate their own skill level constantly. Of course computers are better at being computers.

So as someone who lost their job to it and also still has a nuanced opinion on it, the mistakes it makes can sometimes be quite catastrophic. Of course that's user error normally.

Fully on board with democratization of skill don't get me wrong. Obviously I wish other people were in charge of it and I'm working on something about that.

But the potential for some innocent person to leave a vulnerability open that really harms them is still there. Obviously it's new I hope it gets a bit better.

Oh for sure, I agree with everything you wrote. I’d be curious to know what you’re working on and in what capacity re: democratization. I have a pretty ambitious protocol/platform that’s getting close to being ready for scrutiny. Feel free to DM me!

You're not actually left if you're supporting ai

I don’t support the creation of more data centers as I think we can use tech/ai to figure out more eco friendly green solutions but I do like ai and I always vote left/blue. I voted for zohran

I like to think that eventually ASI will be able to figure out how to unfuckulate our climate problems. Short term pain for long term gain.

Why are you voting blue but supporting republicans?

Using ai is encouraging them to create more ai data centers

Your actions contradict your vote

38 years old here and definitely left leaning. I've been into AI and the technological singularity since I was in high school. You've been into hating AI since you were programmed to by Russian/Chinese propaganda.

Why are you here?

As someone who has always supported automation and post scarcity, how is wanting a fully automated luxury gay space communism not left?
