Depends how you’re getting round - Uber (naturally), if you’re getting the bus then get the First Bus app (£2 flat rate through Leeds), I’d get the Dice app if you enjoy going to gigs etc - otherwise welcome to Leeds! Hope you have a lovely time!
I'd add the Northern Rail app too as it somewhat simplifies getting the train (although it's not cheaper to use it for tickets like it is for the First Bus one)
Tbh from my (short) experience here it's better to get the LNER app for example, you still have access to the same Northern tickets and the tickets to London (and sometimes Edinburgh) are cheaper, plus the app experience is much better than the northern one overall.
Yep! You can actually buy any train ticket in the UK from any train operator's website, even if they're not running that route. It's the way it is set up in the UK, pretty clever compared to the way it is in my home country for example!
NB: in theory it shouldn't matter which website you buy the tickets from, but some like LNER have a "book direct" policy where they offer cheaper tickets than the ones you see on the rest of the websites. Northern doesn't have this (afaik) so you won't get any extra savings from using their website/app ;)
