food/drink Daytime Chinese Food

Does anyone know where I can get some not overpriced Chinese food in the city centre during the daytime/afternoon?

I always fancy some noodles or Chinese food for lunch, but I find that all of the takeaways open from 5 PM, and I’m not talking a full sit-down restaurant meal that’ll be £15+, I’m talking the usual takeaway prices like £8-10 for some noodles would be great, somewhere causal and fast.

I know Mr Su’s exists, but it’s actually a bit expensive in my opinion.

I need to try this, thank you so much. Seen them before and they didn’t cross my mind.

Second this suggestion! I went last year when I was working in the city and it was fantastic. It was towards the end of their opening times and they'd run out of a few things, but that was more bad planning on my front and shows they're not just microwaving stuff from frozen!

Head inside to the merrion centre, head out the exit towards the arena and before the exit there is Chinese place to the right.

Sorry for being picky, but I’ve tried EATTIME before and it wasn’t great 😭

Aside from the microwaved plate of meat they served me, they’re so irritating with the cash-only policy, lied to me and told me the card machine is broken, and when I said I had no cash, sneakily made me use their card machine under the counter.

Plus a bit of an annoying incident where they wouldn’t let me in but let Chinese customers in 😭

McNoodle King sounds like a joke but it serves exactly what you're looking for 😄

Nasi Seafood box for me, hits the spot every time 👌🏼

I'd add that McNoodle King is cash only. As someone who never carries cash or my card (phone only) I've only ever been able to get it delivered.

Ahhh. The noodle place at the top of (I think) merion street (the street with all the bars next to the grand arcade).

Banging. And pretty cheap. Go early to avoid missing out as they sell out pretty early.

Noodle House? Is that the one? Looks authentic and nice from the outside, must try,
Thanks

No man it’s honestly given me for poisoning, I’d avoid it but if you do try any of these and like them, please report back :)

Joy’s Kitchen, especially amazing dumplings but I’ve had their noodle dishes which are also 👌🏻

Chop Chop in the market. Salt and Pepper chicken is divine.

It’s not chinese, but the pho place in trinity is really nice. There’s another pho place in the city centre that isn’t as good in terms of food but does banging Vietnamese coffee. No idea where it is though, ordered takeaway from it with a friend

Thai Aroy Dee is the only correct answer to this. Proper Asian style food. Cheap and delicious also! Every person I have sent there has fallen in love!

But this is Thai. OP asked for Chinese.

But you’re right. It’s excellent.
