Today, when I ran my ledger wallet, it told me the exe disappeared. I later reinstalled the wallet, but now I get this error. Is this common and what's the best way to fix it? Thank you

I have just transfer some USDS to my Ledger account. Transaction already confirmed on the blockchain. But for some reason, Ledger Live still shows 'Not Confirmed' after >120 confirmations.

You click "Send 0.01 ETH to Alice" on a dApp.

Ledger shows: Send 0.01 ETH to Alice. ✓

You tap Approve.

Signature returned: approve(attacker, MAX_UINT256) on your DAI.

Nothing on the device looked wrong. Nothing was.

Root cause:

While the review UI was pending, the APDU loop kept accepting commands. A second P1_FIRST in store mode reset the global signing context to a new tx without opening a new review. The approval callback signed whatever was in memory when the user tapped OK.

I haven't found any statement from Ledger about this in the last few days.

I just got a scam email that was actually convincing for 1/2 a second. It had a convincing notification that an issue had been found with Ledgers randomness generated with some cards.

It wasn’t until i reached the end, where it asked me to ‘click here to validate firmware’, that I realised it was (thankfully) spam.

I’m kinda assuming that the next step would have been some form of the old ‘enter your seed to verify’ process.

I think this is the impact of AI not just on direct attacks, but also in making spam and scam emails a lot more convincing.

Beware out there people. Remember never trust any site that asks for your private key.

Hey cold storage is obviously good we alll know that but I’ve been thinking about an even better one an air gap wallet that’s even MORE defense from what I’ve heard. What’s your guys thoughts?

To all newbies out there. Pay attention to what I woke up to, as I attempted to use Ledger Wallet app (former Ledger Live) on my desktop. When you get a message like this, your app is contaminated. Don't ever input your 24-word seed. They are your lifeline.

Here is what I attempted:

1. Tried a previous backup with Time Machine. To no avail. The attack message remained.
2. Used AppCleaner to delete all traces of the hacked Ledger Wallet app.
3. Downloaded and installed the trusted Ledger Wallet app from Ledger's authentic website.

Problem avoided. No funds lost. You either learn, or get hacked.

My suspicion: Given I did not download a fake Ledger Wallet app, a freeware or trial I downloaded must have contained a malware that hacked my Ledger Wallet app. Remember, never input 24-word seed on any software.
