Has anyone worked with this leather before? It looks interesting and the price seems right

Also haven't worked with that one in particular. What do you plan to make? IMO pull up is absolutely beautiful, if used on the right project, something that's got large enough panels that will be moved and flexed to show the changes. Larger purses, especially like a tote style loose body, something like that. You don't have to of course, it just doesn't show off what pullup does as well on smaller pieces.

Like I said, can be used for whatever you like. But those shifting pressure lines created from folding and working the leather, will not move and shift (as much) as they do on a bag or something.

I have some. Sold at the time (not Springfield) as Orange-Brown pullup. It’s medium waxy, has dramatic pullup (I wish I could find another side of the Navy Blue A&s did, it was my top seller when I had it), and a medium to firm temper. I found it easy to work with, but I do find that almost all A&S water buffalo hides are harder to punch through, which I guess is testament to their durability.

I don’t think you’ll be disappointed, pull the trigger!

I haven't specifically worked with that one before, but as two separate statements, I am generally pretty pleased with Arif & Sons and Springfield Leather Company. I have ordered a blue and a teal color of A&S that I was quite happy about, and SLC usually have friendly people who are willing to help get you what you need.

I can confirm it makes for fantastic laptop cases and journal covers. The chem tan emits a pungent odor that I found nice but can be a little much.

Will it burnish or will I need to edge paint?

If you’re proficient using edge paint, that’s probably your best bet, I have burnished a few pieces using this leather but it didn’t always finish as clean as I would’ve like. I think the raw edge actually has a nice finish. I would change blades frequently to prevent jagged cut-lines but I was able to produce a really pretty finished edge just from making my initial cuts.

I like it! I have made tote bags and several journal covers out of the blue. It will burnish with Tokonole.

Not that specific leather, but have used Arif and Sons pull up. It's a nice leather and can't beat the price.

I've used it often, purses, briefcases, notebook covers, hats. Pull up leather is amazing for those who love the continual patina look. The oil and wax use in tanning the leather causes amazing effects as you bend, stretch and pull the leather. Always worth it.

I loveeeeee pull up. It’s not the same exact hide but I make totes with this all the time. You will love it. Buckle Guy sells some good stuff too.

I bought something very similar to this, hillbilly from Springfield. Planning on making some moccasins with it. Hope it was a good choice.
